Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #38

TGIF! I'm so happy it's Friday! Good morning everyone! Time for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge! Hope you find some time to play along this weekend.

The Occasions Mini is going to break me. I'm not kidding, I seriously want it all. This set, For Father, WAS last on my list, but of course I saw some awesome cards with it... and I am lacking in cards that can be "man cards". Mostly, because my Dad is a wood worker and the sentiment in this set fits him to a "T". His birthday is coming up, so I NEEDED this set to make a special card. Yah, that's it.
Oh sheesh, I can always find an excuse to get more stamps.... I seriously have a problem.

At my last workshop, I demo'd the Watercolor Wonder Crayons. I have a friend (Hi Kathie) that uses them all the time and I always LOVE her cards, but for some reason, I can't ever get the same results as her. I am going to practice. Maybe I need to go to her house and get a lesson. I do love the watercolor paper and that is what I used here. I wanted to match the colors in the Summer Picnic Designer paper, so I used my classic ink pads with my aquapainter.

I really liked this sketch and I had cut two sheets of paper, so I decided to whip up another one. This one was a lot faster.... and I used my FREE SAB Rub Ons. Man, I love those. I'm determined not to hoard them... I'm going to USE them.

Another must have set for me... out of the Occasions Mini is the Full of Life set. You can never have too many sentiment sets... right? And, they are all die cut. Did I tell you that? And the die cut flowers? How easy. I love quick and easy. I'm hopeless.

Here is the sketch:

Don't forget to visit my friends. I'm always amazed at how different each person's version of the sketch is. It's SO much fun. It makes my morning coffee taste SO much better.... sipping along, checking out the sketches. Ahhh... life is good baby.

Try your watercolour wonder crayons with the blender pens - even my beginners get awesome results because they move the colour around beautifully but you don't need to worry about controlling the amount of water. Your card is lovely! - Trish

This is just the sketch I needed to get myself to finish a couple of cards in my "to do" pile. I will be posting next week with some new Hanna Stamps, and some sketches you'll recognize! Thank you.
