Hanna Blog Candy!!!

Whooo Hoooo!! Hanna Stamps is coming out with a sentiment set! It's HUGE (set of 28) and it's all new!! Want to see a sneak peek of "Things Hanna Would Say"? Of course you do! Trust me, you'll want this set to go with your Hanna sets, and for sure for with the new sets to come!!

We are celebrating the grand opening of the official Hanna Stamps site on Friday!! You can get this set FOR FREE!! Just leave me a comment about one thing that you are grateful for, or your favorite Thanksgiving dish/dessert/food. I will draw one name on Sunday evening and Kristi at Hanna Stamps will send you your new set! How cool is that? Check out the other design team members and their blogs for additional chances to win!!

I'm thankful for so much this year. I try and keep reminding myself of those things as I struggle with my back and the aggravation of not being able to do all that I want to do. Most of all, I'm thankful for my family. I feel SO thankful that my grandmother has recovered from surgery and is healthy. I'm thankful my parents finally got to retire and they are having some fun. I'm thankful my family is healthy. I'm thankful for YOU and all of my wonderful friends.

This year, since my parents are off on a cruise for their anniversary, we will have Thanksgiving dinner at my Grandma's house. I was going to attempt to make dinner myself (as scared as my kids were about that), but my Grandma wants to make a traditional English dinner for Thanksgiving this year. It should be fun, and we are all looking forward to trying some Yorkshire pudding. My good English friend sent me a recipe for a dessert that is traditional for holiday dinners, so I'm bringing that.... plus a pumpkin pie! My Mom is making a turkey dinner when they get home, but my friend Michelle said she would bring me some turkey for a cold turkey sandwich to hold me over! LOL. You have to have a cold turkey sandwich right?

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday surrounded by loved ones. I want to send you all a big THANK YOU for your nice comments, your friendship, your support and love. You have no idea how much you make my days!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!
~Cambria

A few of my favorite things ... dish-wise it's my sister's request this year from my Mom to bring her spice cake - I posted the recipe here - and family tradition-wise it's our gathering to watch "Miracle on 34th Street" after dinner!
Happy Thanksgiving, all!

Here is my favorite dessert. Mom's pumpkin pie!

3/4 brown sugar
1 tbl flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 1/4 tsp pumpkin spice
1 1/2 cups pumpkin
1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
1 slightly beaten egg
2 tbl dark molasses

Mix sugar, flour, salt, and spice. Add rest of ingredients and stir until smooth. Pour into 9" pie pan lined with unbaked pastry. Bake in very hot oven (450) 15 min. Reduce heat to (325) and bake until firm or about 40 min. Cool before serving.

Serve with a dollop of Cool Whip of choice and sprinkle with Pumpkin Pie Spice.

Every time I make this people fall over. Very Yummy!

I am Thankful that my High School Sweetheart and I are back together after 30+ years, finally married and celebrating our 2nd holiday in our own home.

This year my kids are with their dad in SC so my DH & I are alone and will be having steak instead of a traditional dinner with all the fixings.

Thanks for the Blog candy offer. Those sayings would make the perfect addition to my growing card making stash.

Looking forward to seeing pics of your family holiday.

I'm going to defer from the norm here for a sec, with others asking the same question. I am grateful to meet so many wonderful, like minded, caring women with whom we all share this hobby. When I think about it, we do not make things in our hobby for ourselves(as a cardmaker/rubberstamper), but rather we send out our creations to strangers and those we know alike, to brighten a day, send a wish, or even some love. That's pretty incredible. Thank you.

My favorite thing to eat during the holidays is my dad's fried turkey! We're in the South, where the motto is that everything's just a little better fried...lol. I also am very grateful for just all the things God has blessed me with. Family, friends, a good job, a wonderful home...the list could go on and on. I'm also thankful for the blogging world...where would I find inspiration if I didn't have all these great blogs!?!

My family and I have so many favorite things to eat during this holiday that it is hard to choose a favorite. i have so much to be thankful for in my life. I am blessed with a great husband and two beautiful children. I have been given the opportunity to pursue my education and strive to become a doctor. My family is so understanding with this lifetime choice.

I LOVE all Thanksgiving food! I can't pick just one! Of course I could probably eat a whole pumpkin pie myself, so maybe I would have to say the pumpkin pie is my favorite!

Hugs to you Sweetie!

I am thankful for many things and the ability to enjoy a big family dinner with turkey and stuffing is one of them. :) I am also thankful for my stamping friends and my stamps which help me keep sane while chasing two toddlers all day.

Speaking of thanks, I am thankful for my wonderful husband, parents, sisters and their husbands and my nieces and nephews. As I struggle with infertility, I realize just how important your family is!
