TGIF everyone! It totally doesn't feel like Friday to me having the kids home all week (Spring Break), but hey, I'm going with it.
This weekend's sketch is from Charmaine! Hop over to her blog and check it out! I hope you can play along over the weekend. And thanks to everyone who played along last week and was so sweet about my sketch.
I got out a very neglected stamp set of mine from Stampin' Up! called Under the Stars. I love that bear. I sparkled him up with Sparkly Fluff... and the mosquitoes too. The poor raccoon hates camping as much as me, but big ole bear is popping out to save him from the bugs! :) That's all I've got... the kids have zapped it all out of me! LOL. That and all the food in the house... man, the boys can eat! I sure hope the sun pops out today. Do ya hear me sunshine?
I can't wait to see what the rest of the team did with Charmaine's awesome sketch!

Have a great weekend everyone!!
This set from Stampin'Up! is just beautiful! I have the decor elements for the walls too... I bought them for my Grandma's new house, but haven't decided where to put them yet.
It's really hard for me to make sympathy cards. I guess it's hard for everyone... I can imagine. I always feel so bad.... I know first hand that losing loved ones is one of the hardest things we have to deal with during our lives.

My Aunt lost her husband of 23 years. Although we didn't see them more than once or twice a year, I always enjoyed Brad. He was funny and sweet and was always smiling. I know my Aunt is going to miss him terribly... and us too.
You are never going to believe this, but BOTH twins are home today sick! I'm seriously going to scream!
Okay.. I'm done screaming. Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral, Brighter Tomorrow
Paper: Soft Sky, Regal Rose, Soft Sky Designer Prints, Whisper White, Basic Grey.
Ink: Basic Grey, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers.
Other: Shimmerz (Burgundy), Paint Brush, 1 3/4 inch Circle Punch (SU!), Circle Nesties, Scallop Nesties, Scallop Edge Punch (SU!), Taffeta Ribbon (SU!), Scor-pal.
Thanks for stopping by! See ya tomorrow for the weekend sketch by Jenn! :)
Happy Friday! This weekend's sketch is hosted by Sharon! Thanks for the fun sketch babe! Please hop on over to her blog for all the deets.
I must confess, it's late, my mojo is missing and I don't blame it.... if I could, maybe I'd be missing too! LOL. It's been a rough week at the Turnbow house. All the kids are on the bus this morning, I'm looking forward to the weekend.... and everyone being healthy! So Yeah Friday!
For the sketch this week, I chose the stamp set Flight of the Butterfly by Stampin' Up! The paper is by My Mind's Eye. I added some extra shazam with my Sakura Clear Glaze Pen to all the polka dots. I'm SO addicted to those pens!
Supplies:
Stamps: Flight of the Butterfly (Stampin'Up!)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Barely Banana, Riding Hood Red.
Paper: My Mind's Eye (Just Dreamy2), Basic Black, Neenah White, Riding Hood Red.
Other: Rectangle Nesties, Crafter's Tool Kit, Word Window Punch, Black Gingham Ribbon, Sakura Clear Glaze Pen, atyou Spica Pen, Dimensionals, Sponge, Scor-pal.
Here is the sketch:
And the rest of the Friday sketch team!

Thanks for stopping by... hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Morning everyone! Another busy day today so I'm making it short again. :)
Isn't this owl cute? His eyes were the perfect size for some googlie eyes too.
I did all the coloring with my Copic Markers. I added some Burgundy Shimmmerz to the balloons, then covered them with Crystal Effects. They really stand out, but also shine under the glaze. The blue sky I did with the chisel end of my BG10 Copic.
It's all layered with the Label One Nesties. For the slight green layer, I ran the same size Label One Nestie as the main image in Old Olive, then cut it in half with my scissors, then added each piece so that some of it slightly showed or shadowed the main image. Another reason I love that Zip Dry Glue... it gives you time to wiggle. :)
Supplies:
Stamps: Owl Together Now (Stampin'Up!)
Paper: Bali Breeze Designer Paper, Old Olive, Neenah White, Rose Red.
Ink: Ranger Distress Soot Black, Copic Markers.
Other: Button Bouquet, Rhinestone Brads, Crafter's Tool Kit, Crystal Effects, Circle Punch, Label One Nesties, Shimmerz, Sakura Glitter Pen, Google Eyes, Poly Twill Ribbon, Scor-pal.
Have a great Saturday! Thanks for stopping by!
A quickie today! I wanted to try one more with Beate's Weekend Sketch. I had the scrap pieces out, so I threw it together.
I used paper from the Palette' O'Prints pack from Stampin' Up! along with the set called Buzzin' By.
The fun part is all the extras I added to make it shine and stand out.
I used the new atyou Spica Pens to add some honey sparkle to the honey, then added Clear Sakura Glaze over the top so that is really looks like oozing honey. Of course I added extra glitter to the bees wings and their antennas too.
Supplies:
Stamps: Just Buzzin' By (Stampin'Up!)
Paper: Neenah White, Basic Black, Palette O'Prints Designer Paper, Rose Red.
Ink: Ranger Distress Soot Black, Copic Markers.
Other: Martha Steward Scallop Circle Punch, Circle Punch (SU!), Purple Cow Cutter with Wavy Blade, Crafter's Tool Kit, Soft Subtle Brads, Dimensionals, Janome Sew Mini, Scor-Pal.
Hope you had a great weekend... they always go by too fast don't they? Thanks for stopping by!
Good morning Stampers! This morning I played with some images that I stamped at my last get together with my girls. I'm also on that mission to use of scrap pieces of designer paper. This set is called Sweet Stems from Stampin' Up! The paper I believe is the retired Bali Breeze Designer paper.
I was having sewing withdrawals, so I grabbed my little Janome Mini and zipped around the edges... ah... feels good to get out my little machine. I love the look of the sewing.. it really adds substance to cards. Substance... not sure that is the right word. Need more coffee.....
Supplies:
Stamps: Sweet Stems, Short & Sweet.
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Neenah White, Barely Banana, Bali Breeze Designer Paper.
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers.
Other:Small Oval Punch, Circle Nesties, Cuttlebug, Sakura Glitter Pen, Dimensionals, Riding Hood Red Ribbon, Banana Grosgrain, Banana Brads, Crafter's Tool Kit, Janome Sew Mini, Scor-pal.
I can't believe tomorrow is Friday already! I'm working on my sketch card today... you are going to like this one! Beate does the best sketches! Have a great Thursday! Thanks for stopping by!

Hello friends! Another quick post today. I feel half human again... thank goodness! Today Averie is home, but everyone else is still at school! Tomorrow there is an service day, so it will be a good mid week break for the kids. Sheldon can use the day to try and catch up on all the homework for the week he missed.
This card uses a new Hostess Set from the new Stampin' Up! catalog. I borrowed some images from my friend Gail. LOVE that sentiment.
The background is Neenah white, ran through the Cuttlebug, then spayed with the same colored Copic markers. I love my little air compressor... and it's been so neglected lately. I then went back and added a little more red with the actual marker (RV29).
The ribbon is from Stampin' Up! too, but I don't think it's still available. It was from the Jersey Ribbon Originals. I also used my new Nesties and Kaiser Pearls. I added just a touch of bling to the main image by adding some Pixie Dust Blingz.
Supplies:
Stamps: Echos of Kindness (Stampin'Up!)
Paper: Neenah White, Riding Hood Red, Basic Black.
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Copic Markers.
Other: Cuttlebug, Embossing Folder, Kaiser Pearls, Crafter's Tool Kit, Air Compressor, Slot Punch, Ribbon (Stampin'Up!), Pixie Dust Blingz, Nesties, Scor-pal.
Hope you have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!
These little boxes are so much fun and easy! I first got the pattern on SUDSOL a few years ago, but it held only one Chirardelli Chocolate, then later, I *think* it was Chi Chi Allen who came up with this version that held three. These are SO perfect for handing out to teachers, or coworkers. Who doesn't like Ghirardelli chocolate?
The scalloped image is from the Valentine Bundle from Stampin' Up. I stamped the image, then colored the heart and little dots using my blender pen and ink from the Red Hood Red Classic Ink pad. I then used the 1 inch Circle Punch to cut out the center. I glued the rest of the scallop onto a black circle (made with the 1 3/4 inch Circle Punch), then popped up the center portion with a Jody Circle Foam Dot! I added Sakura Black Glaze to the dots in the heart, so they look embossed.
This seriously took all of five minutes! I used the background stamp called Stitched, but you could also use roller wheels or stamps to make any background. This one is held closed by the ribbon, but you could use those cool magnetic snaps too! When you open the inside, I made a little notch in the front with the Designer Label Punch so that you can see the chocolate and grab them with ease.
I don't know what I did with the directions from Chi Chi, I took one apart that I had made up previously. So, I'll tell you how I made this, and write a tutorial later in the week if you need one.
- Cut your cardstock 4.5 x 8
- Score the short end in 1 inch on each side.
- Score the long side at 2inches, 3 inches, 5 inches and 6 inches.
- On the score lines that you made at five and six inches, cut on those lines until you reach the vertical score. That makes two tabs
- On the two and three inch score lines, cut in to the first score line, then flip it, and also cut down the vertical line. So, three inches on each side the flaps will be gone.
- Stamp and fold your box.
I hope that made sense. I will post a photo tomorrow or later today if I can. Thanks for stopping by! I will be back later today to draw a winner for the blog candy. Oh my.. you guys ROCK! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the recipes! Thank you SOOOOO much! My crock is gonna rock baby! LOL. You make my days with the sweet comments! I wish I had enough Copics to share with everyone.
See ya soon!
I love making Valentine cards... have I told you that? Yesterday, I found THE best excuse to stamp Valentine cards to my hearts content AND feel great about it! You want to help? Even if you send just one, you will bring a huge smile to a child.

They all have great blog candy too! :)
Tomorrow I'm going to work on some more boyish cards, but today, these cute bees were calling to me! I stamped these images while my Aunt was down visiting from her Buzzin' By set. Then, my friend Gail let me stamp off and punch out hearts from her Love You Much Bundle from Stampin'Up! So, these little bees are all dressed up in their Valentine duds and they are decorating their hive for Valentine's day! The sentiment is from the set called So In Love by Our Craft Lounge. I just added another e. :) Of course this has shine and shazam galore! I added glaze everywhere with my red Sakura Glaze Pen. The wings and the hive have Pink Poinsetta Blinz on it. I even added some sparkle to those punched out hearts with my atyou Spica pens. Gotta have some glitter with Valentines.
Supplies:
Stamps: So In Love (Our Craft Lounge), Love You Much Valentine Bundle, Buzzin' By (Stampin'Up!)
Paper: Bazzill Pink and Black (for the little heart), Real Red, Basic Black (Stampin'Up!), Neenah White.
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Copic Bright and Pastel Marker Sets.
Other: Jody's Foam Dots, Nesties, Cuttlebug, atyou Spica Pens, Shimmerz Blingz, Sakura Glaze Pens, Real Red Brads, Scor-pal.
Have a great day everyone! Thanks for stoppin' by! :)
So... my Aunt arrived and as soon as I could get away, we started stampin! She brought with her this new set from Stampin'Up! called Just Buzzin' By. How cute is that bee?
The vase is actually the honey pot that comes in the set! As soon as I saw it, I thought about the pot. Maybe because I love the flower stamp! I inked the pot very carefully excluding the honey and the lid. I stamped it, then masked it, then stamped the flowers. It does look a little plain on the top so I added some gingham ribbon to cover it up. Gingham ribbon fixes everything! :) I could have stamped a better looking pot if I had my marker to use, but I didn't so this worked fine.
I colored the entire image with Copics from Our Craft Lounge. I'm not sure from which sets... I will let you know tomorrow. They are all mixed up in a container. I wasn't going to finish this until tomorrow, but I just couldn't wait. Plus, tomorrow the kids go back to school, and I have a breakfast date and a meeting with my girls. So, it's another easy card from me..... but I love how it turned out!
Supplies:
Stamps: Just Buzzin' By (Stampin'Up!)
Paper: Neenah White, Basic Black, Real Red, Ballet Blue, Print Pack Designer Paper.
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Copic Markers (OCL).
Other: Dimensionals, Regal Brads, Gingham Ribbon, Mini Glue Dots, Sakura Glaze Pens, atyou Spica Pens, Crafter's Tool Kit, Scor-pal.
I know, I know... I said earlier bedtime. It's all Roseanne's fault! She's always blaming me for her stamp addiction... uh hum, hobby, so why not blame her for my late bedtime? Yah, that sounds good to me!! :) Definitely Roseanne's fault!
Have a super Monday everyone! Thanks for stopping by!
Just another quick thank you note for some friends and family who were so thoughtful during the Holidays. This image is one I had colored and didn't have time to make into a Christmas card. I can't let it go to waste.... right?
The image is stamped onto Watercolor paper with Black Stazon ink. I used the technique I like to call watercoloring for cheaters to color these cute little elves. I added a little Shazam with my atyou Spica pens and my Sakura Glaze pens..... I'm totally addicted to them. I can't help myself! :)
Supplies:
Stamps: Holiday Lineup, Much Appreciated.
Paper: Real Red, Watercolor Paper, Garden Green, Dashing Designer Paper (SU!).
Ink: Black Stazon, Stampin'Write Markers.
Other: Dimensionals, Aquapainters, Crafter's Tool Kit, Riding Hood Red Ribbon, Sakura Glaze Pen, atyou Spica Pens.
Okay, so much for getting to bed earlier tonight, but I will tomorrow for sure.... 6:30 am is going to come early after having such a nice break. :)
Thanks for stopping by!
Oh yah, you always need thank you's after the Holidays right? Mine are easy this year! I'm ready to start having fun making Valentine stuff. Seriously... maybe it's cuz I can use pink to my heart's content, but I love doing Valentine stuff. :) You've been warned. LOL
I used the set A Flower For All Seasons from Stampin' Up! It was on my first order out of the last catalog. I LOVE it. On the inside I used a thank you sentiment from the set Much Appreciated.... another favorite of mine from Stampin' Up! I'm going to try and get a few more made over the weekend.

I added some Rustic Red Shimmerz to the flower petals to add some shine, along with atyou Spica gold centers. I seriously cannot make a card without adding some shine or glaze anymore... I think I have a problem.
We've had lots of bad weather lately... no snow, but a lot of rain and wind. My Aunt is coming this weekend to hang with us stampin girls... I cannot wait for our monthly meeting on Monday. I hope the weather lets up so that she can make a safe drive down the coast.
Oh man, and I HAVE to start getting to bed earlier.... Monday the kids go back to school and that means NO more sleeping in. Everyone needs to get to bed earlier..... the holidays are officially coming to and end. You know it's at an end when everyone has to get to bed early so that you can wake up ungrumpy... right? I guess now I have to start to remember what day it is? He he he....
Supplies:
Stamps: A Flower For All Seasons, Heard from the Heart, Stitched Background, Much Appreciated (inside) All stamps from Stampin'Up!
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Basic Black, Neenah White, Apple Green Bazzill.
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Copic Markers.
Other: Scor-Pal, Crafter's Tool Kit, Riding Hood Red Tafetta Ribbon, Circle Nesties, Circle Scallop Nesties, Cuttlebug, Jody's Foam Dots (the big fat round ones).
Have a great weekend everyone! Thanks for stopping by!

Hello stampers! I'm sorry I've been absent. I have deadlines to meet, and of course all the Holiday stuff everyone is doing at this time of the year. The kids are home too. How can I get anything done with the kids home? It's so fun to see them so excited for Christmas. :)
I just wanted to pop in and wish you all a Merry Christmas! I want to thank you all for visiting me, for all the lovely comments, friendship, sharing of recipes, etc. You know I love ya! Hope you are all safe and warm and with your family over the Holidays. I'll be back after Christmas. :)

This card was a quickie! I grabbed one of my favorites sets from Stampin'Up! called Holiday Tag Team. Santa has a shimmery beard with the help of my Angel Wings Shimmerz. I used White Fun Flock on his Santa Suit. Sakura black glaze on his belt and boots. Grabbed for my atyou Spica Green to add some glitter to the Ho Ho Ho. :) The present is all glitterfied too.
I am very bad this year about making Christmas cards. I got very few done... only ones other people needed. One of these days, my family will give up on me and stop sending me cards! Next year, I hope to be more organized. Man, please help me get more organized. :) Can you make those kind of wishes to Santa? LOL.
Happy Holidays sweet friends! See you soon.
~Cambria

Are you getting sick of me posting these Lineup cards? I have just a couple more that I stamped off at my friend Gail's house. These reindeer just crack me up!
I used the Watercoloring for Cheaters method to color them. I added some Shazam with my atyou Spica pens to the hat and the lovely big red nose. I also added some Clear Glaze over their eyes with my Sakura Glaze Pen, and some black to the other noses with my Black Glaze Pen.
Supplies:
Stamps: Holiday Lineup, Riveting (Stampin'Up!)
Paper: Chocolate, Real Red, Watercolor Paper, Bashful Blue, Whisper White.
Ink: Stazon, SU! markers.
Other: Aquapainter, Cuttlebug, Red Gingham, Sakura Clear and Black Glaze, atyou Spica Pens, Crafter's Tool Kit, Circle Punches, Round Scallop Punch, Dimensionals, Christmas Ornaments Embossing Folder.
Have a great week everyone! Thanks for stoppin by!
Good morning stampers! Hope you had a great weekend! We got our tree up and decorated. This year, we broke down and got a fake tree... artificial tree. LOL. It's really pretty. You have to look REALLY close to see if it's real or not. The kids always LOVE decorating the tree and the house. I cannot believe Christmas is just around the corner. Are you ready for the holiday?
This is another card I put together this weekend with the Holiday Line Up set from Stampin'Up! I used the same method to color... I call it watercoloring for cheaters. It's really the only thing I used my SU! markers for anymore, but I love the results! :)
Again, I added all the Shazam with my atyou Spica Pens and my Sakura Glaze pens... man, I LOVE those pens!
Supplies:
Stamps: Holiday Lineup, Heard from the Heart (Stampin'Up!)
Paper: Watercoloring Paper, Rose Red, Bashful Blue, Regal Rose (Stampin'Up!).
Ink: Black Stazon, SU! Markers

Have a super week everyone! Thanks for stopping by!

Oh man, aren't these snowman the cutest? When I got together with my girls this week, my friend Gail let me stamp some images from her set. I took my watercolor paper and my Stampin'Up Markers and my aquapainter. I stamped them with Black Stazon, then started coloring. I used the technique I like to call, watercoloring for cheaters. This technique is SO easy and fun. So quick too. Gotta love fast and easy!

I colored three while I was there, so today all I did was add some Shazam with my atyou Spica glitter, and Sakura Glaze pens, then put them on a card. I love these guys. :) I will show you the others as soon as I get them finished.
Supplies:
Stamps: Holiday Lineup, Short and Sweet.
Paper: Designer Prints (hostess), Real Red, Ballet Blue, Watercolor Paper.
Ink: Black Stazon,Whisper White Craft.
Other: SU! Markers, Striped Real Red Ribbon, Small and Large Oval Punches, Sakura Glaze Pens, atyou Spica Pens, Aquapainter, Dimensionals, Janome Sew Mini, Scor-pal.
Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Hey stampers! At our last stampin meeting, my friend Nancy Littrell brought this cool calendar she made. You can see it here in her SCS gallery. I've wanted to make one,but other stuff got in the way. Then, my friend Nancy Morgan posted this awesome tutorial, so I decided to just do it! I adore the Nancys. :) Thanks girls... for sharing all your awesome ideas and creations.

I changed each page just a bit, but I always used Stampin'Up! designer paper. One side for the base 3 3/4 x 5 mounted on a piece of Chocolate Chip 4 x 5.25. The Top Note piece was always the opposite side of the designer paper.

The only stamp set I used was Season by Season. The rest was made using either SU! Sizzix Dies or Punches.
The whole calendar is on one piece of Kraft card stock cut 5.5x 8.5 and scored at 4 1/4. Just like you'd cut for a regular sized card.
I changed the closure a bit. Instead of using ribbon, when I attached the chocolate chip layer onto the Kraft base, I did not add adhesive to the bottom portion. This way, you can slip the base that holds it open and upright, right between the Kraft base and the chocolate chip. This holds it open nice and sturdy.
The base piece was a scrap on my desk. It measures 4 x 3 scored in one inch on each end of the four inch side.

There ya have it! A fun quick gift for someone's desk. Please visit Nancy for the tutorial, she did a great job! I love her blog!! And, if you have a chance, please leave Nancy Littrell a comment on her calendar too..... You girls are DA bomb! :)
Have a wonderful Sunday! Thanks for stopping by!
PS... I added the additional photos so that you can see how the center piece works to keep the calendar from tipping over. Hope that makes more sense. :)
