Cosmo Cricket In Flight

Hello Stampers!  Mr. Mailman brought me some new paper!  Nothing like a box of new paper to make a girl's day!  This Cosmo Cricket caught my eye right away.  These are scraps, but I can't show you what I did with the other pieces until Friday for the sketch. You ready for another sketch?  I'm ready.... I'm ready!  (in my best Spongebob voice)  I hope you'll join us.
This week at The Lounge the theme is Nature.  Cindy is hosting and knocking all our socks off!  So, today, I thought I'd get out my In Flight set and get it inky.   I'm still using the dirty technique to get that beautiful distressed look.  I used Antique Linen Distress Ink, my craft mat and the sponge tool around the edges of the main image.  I stamped the butterfly twice.  Once on the cardstock, which I colored with Copics, then again on the designer paper, which I cut out and glued only the center and popped up those wings by adding a foam square under each wing.  I added some Crafty Sparkles and some Sakura Black Glaze and it's all pretty. :)

Hope you are having a great week, thanks for stopping by!  See ya tomorrow for the OCLDT sketch!

This is beautiful, Cami! I do have a question about the distressing, however? Did you stamp the butterfly first and then distress around it with the antique Linen ink or vice versa? Just curious. See ya tomorrow!!

I stamp first, then distress. Just smoosh the ink on the craft mat, then do circles with the sponge tool grabbing a bit of ink and lightly in the same circular movement, hit the cardstock. Repeat. Tim has some videos you can watch too. I think it's something you just have to DO... and no be scared of. :) Thanks for the comments girls.
