Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #61

Hey everyone! TGIF! It's been a long week and I'm ready for the weekend. The kids are home today from school for a In Service day, so it will be a long weekend too. One of my twins was really sick this week, so I didn't get a lot done at my stampin desk. I think he's on the mend, and I'm just hoping no one else comes down with it. ... especially ME, because there is NOTHING worse that blowing chunks. I'm not kidding, I think I'm puke phoebic. Man, I tried to clean it up and I end up hurling with the kids. Thank goodness for my man...... my puke cleaning man. Oh, I how I love him...... sorry, I'm WAY off topic. Yah, it's late... yah, I put the sketch off this week... I know, I just busted myself.

It's a super cool sketch this week... don't ya think? Make sure to check out Beate's Weekend Sketch!

And, don't forget the sketch team...they rock!

I am sorry one of your boys was sick! I hate anything vomit related. GAG!!! I hope he is better soon and noone else will get it.
Love your card. Love the colors, that big old flower and of course your stitching. I got my sewing machine out for my sample as well....but my stitches look like I was drunk behind that machine. LOL
Have a wonderful, chunk free weekend!
Hugs and smiles

Great card and love all the sewing! Sorry one of your guys was sick, we just got done with the puke athon a few weeks ago, it went from the baby to me to hubby. Thank God the other 2 didn't come down with it as I'm right there with you in not enjoying the clean up.

Vomit makes me gag. . . it's a complete and total barf-o-rama if there are chunks blown in our house, too. I get the gags just *smelling* someone else's vomit!! Here's to a healthy, relaxing weekend!

One thing that makes me NOT barf is your stuff. LOVE this. . . I wanted to sew, but am too lazy to find the machine in the piles of stuff in my closet! And Beate drunk sewed? Friends shouldn't let friends sew drunk!

Your card is wonderful...I especially love the subtle sparkle on the flower!! And as usual, your stitching blows me away!!

Hi Cami,

Wonderful card! And even better story. Your DH rocks! I thought I was the only phobic vomit challenged person in the world. When my DH was alive I used to offer to pay him (and anyone else in the vicinity)not for the clean up but for the whole getting sick part. Always made him laugh. As the eldest of 6 and soberest of the clan he was well trained in the art of comforting the sick. I used to accuse him (semi seriously) of enjoying my tears and pleas to God - yes I'm a big baby when it comes to well you know what. I must say though that when I got to return the favor, when Steve was going through cancer treatments,

God gifted me with the "ministry of the basin" and an unusually strong stomach. I've been forever grateful. Now if only my cat's hadn't inherited my weak stomach life would be Golden.

Oh yeah back to the main subject - cards.

I love Beate's Sketch's and seeing what you and your wonderful group come up with week after week! Inspiration in spades! Thanks!

And yes, I'm crossing my fingers (now how am I going to stamp:) you don't get sick too!

Thanks for sharing - Jean

Glad you are back. Puke isn't fun. I hope I don't get it! I had my flu shot on the 8th then moved on the 9th and I was so sore and achy. It always does that but this thing at your house would have been B A D! Hang tough! Linda Crowder
