Hey everyone! Wow, it's Friday again, and another week went by with no posts from me... I'm so sorry. If it's not one thing, it's another for us lately. Yesterday we spent the day in Eugene where my oldest son went through allergy testing. He is allergic to grass, dust mites and household dust. So, now we know what's setting him off and hopefully we have his meds right so that he can quit missing school. Poor kid. Allergies are horrible! No one in my family has ever had them, so this is all new to us. Yah, DUST... can you believe that? So much for letting my pile get so bad you can write in it. And, so much for having him do dusting as a chore! How bad is that for Mom?

Oh, allergies ROT! Chandler's allergic to the same stuff, and ya know what? We ripped out the carpet in his room and it has helped a LOT. He'll probably still need to get allergy shots like Mike, but man. . . the carpet holds on to dust, no matter how often yu clean!

I have those allergies and more. I can tell you vacuuming is hard too (it kicks up dust in the floor). Sorry Mom - I still do it, just happen to notice my allergies really bother me the more of it I do.
Cambria, I am so sorry to hear your boy has allergies. But with meds it will be allright.
I took Lucas today because one of his eyes were swollen badly. Allergies! Even with medicine they can act up. Argghhh

We have allergies in my family too. I am terribly allergic to household dust and dust mites. I hate it when I have to dust. I usually let the dust lie until I have to remove it. I take allergy medicine before I dust. My husband is more allergic to animals--cats trigger a deadly asthma attack. We cannot go into someone's house with an indoor cat--within 30 minutes, he cannot breathe. We followed his allergist's advice and ripped out tons of old carpet and went to hard wood floors throughout the house including the bedroom. This helps a lot for both of us!

Also, don't ever hang his clothes (especially sheets) out to dry. Allergies are awful.
