Reindeer Games

Hello Stampers!  I know... don't fall off your chair.  Two posts in a row! I realized I have a lot of projects on my computer that I haven't shared, so I'm sharing.... but still not much time for stamping.  I hope this holiday weekend, I'll find some time to sit and get inky.  I really wanted to actually SEND out some Christmas cards this year. :)
I used two stamp sets for these projects.  Reindeer Games and No Peeking! The cute gift box is a Sizzix Die... and very easy to put together.  The reindeer nose is covered with Rockin' Red Sparkly Fluff (the gift box) and Brown Sugar Sparkly Fluff (the card).  The ground is covered with our Chunky Glitter applied with Glossy Accents. That button is from Fancy Pants and the ribbon is from Bazzill, along with all the cardstock and jewels. I know I need quick and easy for the holidays... and these cute reindeer are easy to color and oh so cute! :)  Have you seen the cute set that goes with this one called Reindeer Pun? Really makes them extra fun huh?

Hope you have a wonderful day.  It's snowing here on the OR Coast... I told you it was getting cold.  The kids were SO bummed that school wasn't canceled.  Stay warm! Thanks for stopping by!

White Christmas

Good Monday morning! Hope everyone is healthy and warm today... it's getting SO cold here on the OR Coast!

I finally had some time to stamp... or should I say, finish stamping.  I stamped this tree from the stamp set White Christmas a few weeks ago, and it's been sitting here on my desk just patiently waiting to be turned into a card.  I really like how this one turned out.  I stamped that tree onto Neenah (I forget the name of the cardstock, but it looks like Kraft.  I want to say Sand?), with my Versamark Champagne Dazzle ink Pad, then embossed with clear embossing powder.  I grabbed a finger dauber and then used white craft ink to smear all around the tree.  When I was done, I took a tissue and cleaned off the white ink off the embossed snowflakes.  Then, I used my Ranger Sponge Tool and inked up the sided and I'm sorry, but I can't remember what ink I used.. maybe Brushed Corduroy or Antique Linen?  I'll be better next time about paying attention.... sorry!

I know I used a button from BasicGrey (Jovial Collection), and that beautiful trim is from Maya Road.  The designer paper is from Fancy Pants.  AND... I got out and dusted off my sewing machine... which made me smile this morning as I thought back to how happy I was when I first discovered I could sew.... well, on cardstock anyway. :)

If you are looking for the winner from last week's blog hop, they will all be announced over at The Lounge later today. The set I am giving away will not ship until next week though, so please be patient.

Hope you have a wonderful week and a Thanksgiving filled with family and love! Thanks for stopping by!

I Lava You!

Hey Everyone!  I'm so sorry I missed out on yesterday's fun! I'm here today though, and looking forward to showing you one the new Valentine sets from Our Craft Lounge!  Your favorite store will have these sets just in time for Santa to put one under your tree!  *wink*

This set is called Lava You.  It's SO awesome!  All kinds of fun different Lava to stamp in each lamp.  Fun sentiments too!  In my photo, my lamp is still a little mucky because I was impatient and the Glossy Accents wasn't quite dry. After it completely dries, it will be crystal clear.  I painted the hearts and surrounding the hearts with Smooch ink.  Then, once that was dry, I covered the entire "glass" part with Glossy Accents.  I then placed a double sided foam dot from Scrapbook Adhesives under the lamp part before adhering it to the black scallop layer with Zip Dry which made the lamp bulge out even more!  You just HAVE to touch it.. really you do. Finished it off by adding some of my favorite jewels from Bazzill... just like their cardstock, their jewels are THE BEST!

Would you like to win this set?  Just leave a comment here with your contact information, and you have a chance.  One winner will be drawn on Sunday.  You have until Saturday, midnight to enter.  Here are the rules. *shipment of the new sets will take a couple weeks.

Take a Load Off!

We all need to take a load off and watch the laundry grow sometimes... right?  When Joy was here last month, she brought me some adorable Greeting Farm stamps.  She said this one reminds her of me.... maybe because I'm always buried with laundry!  I do have cute fuzzy pink slippers just like those. :)

This sweet image is called Laundry... The Inspiration Emporium carries a ton of adorable Greeting Farm images!  I also used the stamp set, The Spin Cycle by Our Craft Lounge (the sentiments).  The designer paper is from the Lucy Bird Line (Imaginisce). I used Nestability dies from Spellbinders and those jewels are from Bazzill, along with the cardstock.  See her cute pink slippers?  I just used my Quickie Glue pen, then sprinkled on some Cotton Candy Sparkly Fluff.  I used Copic Markers to color, and the scalloped edge on the side I made using my EK Success edger punch.

Hope you had a great weekend... and you got to watch the laundry grow! *wink*

OCLDT30 Happy Holidays!

Hello Stampers!  Wow, it's been a crazy week.  All the kids are back to school though, so it's time to buckle down and get some work done for me too.  I have to admit, the house was WAY too quiet... I'm sure I'll adjust though *wink*.  I really haven't had much stamping time, but I'm hoping with the kids back at school, I'll find some time!  We are busy prepping for Scrapfest later this month, so I'm busy cutting, scoring, packing.

Would you like to win a free stamp set from Our Craft Lounge?  Stop by The Lounge and play along this month with our weekly Sketch Challenge!  I've missed the last couple of weeks, so this morning, I made sure to sit down and STAMP!  Here's my OCLDT30 sketch card! :)
This week, I grabbed two stamp sets.  One called Reindeer Games (love these whimsical reindeer), and  No Peeking ( for the sentiments).  I added Rockstar Red Sparkly Fluff to the nose, and a jewel from Bazzill to the scarf.  On his hoofs, I used my black Sakura Glaze pen.  The designer paper and buttons are from the Jovial line (Basicgrey)... oh that paper is yummy.   The brown gingham ribbon is from Bazzill, along with the cardstock.  I used Antique Linen ink to sponge the edges with my Tim Holtz spongy handle thing.

I hope you have a great day! The sun is out today, after a week of rain and clouds on the OR coast, but boy can you feel the Fall coming in the air.  Thanks for stopping by!

Be Scary!

I love making Halloween cards!  I started out trying to play along with the OCLDT sketch last week, but it didn't end up looking anything like the sketch!  I'll try again tomorrow and see if I can follow the sketch!  Nothing was going right last week, so it doesn't surprise me that my card was wonky.

I found this cool paper in my stash from last year, it's called Trick or Treat by Fancy Pants.  The pumpkin is a die from Spellbinders.... I used my oval die in the center to make a little frame. I used the stamp sets On the Fence and Spooky Tags, both new releases from Our Craft Lounge. I added Black Eyeliner Sparkles to the graves, and Black Eyeliner Sparkly Fluff to the bats.  I added some Tuxedo Smooch to the tree, the outlined it all with C1 to give it some shadow.  The trim on the end is made with my EK Success Edger punches I got at Memories of Time.  Love my punches.....

Have a wonderful day! Wish me luck on tomorrow OCLDT sketch.  I hope you join us!

You Rock, Happy Birthday!!

Good afternoon!  Summer is officially coming to an end for us.  The kids are registered, they have their school clothes and supplies, and now the rain has hit the OR coast!  One week to go and they will all be catching that big yellow bus!  Well, except for my Senior... wow, I have a SENIOR this year.  Time flies....

Speaking of time flying, my cousin's daughter is turning 15 today! She's off to the DMV first thing this morning to get her permit.  What happened to our little munchkins?   Nothing like our kids turning into young adults to make me feel OLD! :)

When the girls were here for our MOT class last month, we had a little coloring session/play date.  Two gals drove down from Portland to attend, and we had THE best time coloring and stamping images.  This cutie is from The Greeting Farm.... her name is Ruby.  These images are so much fun to color and just SO adorable!! You can see a huge selection of Greeting Farm stamps here.    The greeting on the outside of the card and the inside are from the set called Say it Big, by Our Craft Lounge.

Now, an image just isn't complete if it isn't "touchable", so I added some Glossy Accents to her hair tie, and Rockin Pink Sparkly Fluff to her boots and top. I also added some sparkle to her necklace with atyou Spica Pens.  Image is colored with Copic markers and stamped with Ranger Soot Black Ink.  The flower is a punch by EK Success, along with the heart edger along the bottom.   The main image is a die is from Spellbinders.  I cut the die in half to mat the main image with, then used the other half for the inside to hold two gift cards.  That cool brad in the center of the flower is a glazed brad from BasicGrey... love those brads! The cardstock is all Bazzill.

Hope you have a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Moose

Hello Stampers!  Wow, I think Summer finally arrived here on the OR Coast... it's been beautiful the last couple of days.  It seems like the kids always have such beautiful weather once school starts, so it's good to have some for the last few days of summer.

Today, I'm using another new set from our Holiday Release called  Merry Moose.  How cute is he? I added a huge glob of Glossy Accents to each bulb so they are all bulged out like real bulbs.  Sugar Sparkly Fluff makes the hat totally touchable!  I also added just a dot of Sakura Glaze Black to the eyes.  The paper is from MME, called Colorful Christmas, the cardstock is Bazzill.  Image is colored with Copic Markers.

Have a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by!

Blog Hop, Day TWO!

Today, I show you some projects using the stamp set Under The Mistletoad... get it?  MistleTOAD? Okay, so maybe you don't get it since I'm using the cute tree that comes in the set, so maybe I better show you another project?   I have to admit I ADORE this tree!  How much fun is that to color? I used some designer paper from my favorite paper pack from last year called Colorful Christmas (MME).  The sentiment is from another new set called NO peeking.  Have you seen the sneak peeks from that set? Oh, it's another favorite for sure. *wink*

Here is another easy project.  It's a die from Sizzix, modified a bit to make a hot cocoa holder.  I wish I had a cute  candy cane to insert with it, but go figure, I can't find any candy canes yet. This is just one of the frogs in the set... isn't he adorable?  Check out The Lounge to see the full set, and get details about the blog hop/release.
Want to see more?  Here's a list of the girls who are peeking today! Stop by and show them some love.  Don't forget to leave a comment so you will be entered for a chance to win one of our new release sets!

OCLDT22 Sunshine Cheer

Hello Stampers! Happy Friday!  Today we have another sketch challenge over at The Lounge.  Hope you can play along.

I am making myself do two sketch cards!  I have friends who always make multiple cards... it totally makes sense, but for me, I rarely do more than one. If I have to make multiples, I do like five and I'm so tired of doing the same thing! But, now I'm going to do at least two every sketch... and maybe just change them a bit. *wink*

This set, Sunshine Cheer, is one of my favorites.  You can change all the sentiments around and use it for almost any occasion.  I made one a birthday card, and the other a get well.  I used the birthday set Big Birthday Wishes for the inside of my second card.  The designer paper is from Imaginisce, Lucy Bird line and the cardstock is Bazzill.  I used Brilliance Ink, Lemon Drop Yellow Crafty Sparkles and Sugar Sparkly Fluff on the clouds.

Something else I've been doing lately is the inside of my cards.  I mean why not right?  You've almost always have a piece of scrap designer paper left over and it looks SO nice.

Here's the inside of both cards... see my new heart EK Success heart border punch (I got at MOT last Friday!!)?

So... if you have some time this weekend, come over and hang with us at The Lounge! Make a card and maybe win a stamp set! :)  Have a super weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Vintage Traveler

Hello Stampers! How is your summer going so far?  Today, I'm going to show you a sneak peek of some new CHA Released stamp sets!  We have two new sets called Vintage Traveler and Under Lock & Key that will be available to retailers later this month.  But... if you are close to an Archivers Store, you can get them now!  I also used the stamp set called The Journey.  Love it when you can use three stamp sets and they all go together so nicely.

The designer paper is from Fancy Pants, and the shimmer is from Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.  I used two colors, Pink Bubblegum and Olive Vine.  The main images is covered with Rock Candy Distress Paint, so it's all crackled and vintage looking.  I wish you could see the sparkle. :)

Hope you have a great week!  Thanks for stopping by!

OCLDT #21 Say it With Flowers

Hello peeps!  It's Friday!  I have to keep reminding myself what day it is with the kids home everyday.  Are you having the same problem?  It's sad when you have to ask the kids what day it is!  The Holiday really messed me up! Did you have a fun 4th?

I was so excited to find some time to play along with the OCLDT sketch today!  This card sketch is based on a creation by my super fab friend HB (Carol Halvorson).  I LOVE her style.  She always has super cool layouts and always inspires me! I hope you can stop by The Lounge and play along this week!  I'm hoping to play along with last week's sketch later in the week too.  Remember you have a chance to win from any sketch posted in the same month. :)

I actually made two cards I loved this layout so much!  The other card said "If Friends Were Flowers.... I'd pick you on the front." and "Thanks for being my friend" on the inside.  If you own any flower stamp sets, this set, Say it with Flowers is a MUST HAVE.  The flowers on the front are from the stamp set Fabulous Florals, which also, in my opinion, is another must have. It matches the sentiment set so nicely.... right?  :)

The cardstock I used is from Bazzill, the designer paper is from Imaginisce, Lucy Bird. I used various brads for the flower centers.  I used my favorite EK Success border punch for the side, Nestabilities for the circles.  The flowers just sparkle with help from Cosmo Crystal Crafty Sparkles and my Quickie Glue Pen.  The ink is from Memento (the pink) and Brilliance.

Have a great Friday, and FABULOUS weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

MOT July Class

Hello Stampers!  Just a quick post today!  Kisa and I are gearing up for class at our local scrapbook store, Memories of Time.  This month we are using the stamp set Life's a Picnic.  Kisa designed this adorable picnic basket!  I can't wait to make it with our girls!  The card was totally inspired by a card Holly McMillen did this week at The Lounge... did you see her projects this week?  Girl knocked it out of the park!

If you are in our area and would like to attend class, it's time to head down to the store and sign up!  It's Friday, July 9th at 6:00 pm.  We'd love to see you!  You get to make these two fun projects, and take the stamp set home with you!  We always have a blast!  Hope to see you soon!

Thanks for stopping by!  Don't forget to check out the previous post and shop at the new online store Inspiration Emporium!  Those great deals end soon.  See you tomorrow for the OCLDT Sketch! :)
