Take a Load Off!

We all need to take a load off and watch the laundry grow sometimes... right?  When Joy was here last month, she brought me some adorable Greeting Farm stamps.  She said this one reminds her of me.... maybe because I'm always buried with laundry!  I do have cute fuzzy pink slippers just like those. :)

This sweet image is called Laundry... The Inspiration Emporium carries a ton of adorable Greeting Farm images!  I also used the stamp set, The Spin Cycle by Our Craft Lounge (the sentiments).  The designer paper is from the Lucy Bird Line (Imaginisce). I used Nestability dies from Spellbinders and those jewels are from Bazzill, along with the cardstock.  See her cute pink slippers?  I just used my Quickie Glue pen, then sprinkled on some Cotton Candy Sparkly Fluff.  I used Copic Markers to color, and the scalloped edge on the side I made using my EK Success edger punch.

Hope you had a great weekend... and you got to watch the laundry grow! *wink*

OCLDT30 Happy Holidays!

Hello Stampers!  Wow, it's been a crazy week.  All the kids are back to school though, so it's time to buckle down and get some work done for me too.  I have to admit, the house was WAY too quiet... I'm sure I'll adjust though *wink*.  I really haven't had much stamping time, but I'm hoping with the kids back at school, I'll find some time!  We are busy prepping for Scrapfest later this month, so I'm busy cutting, scoring, packing.

Would you like to win a free stamp set from Our Craft Lounge?  Stop by The Lounge and play along this month with our weekly Sketch Challenge!  I've missed the last couple of weeks, so this morning, I made sure to sit down and STAMP!  Here's my OCLDT30 sketch card! :)
This week, I grabbed two stamp sets.  One called Reindeer Games (love these whimsical reindeer), and  No Peeking ( for the sentiments).  I added Rockstar Red Sparkly Fluff to the nose, and a jewel from Bazzill to the scarf.  On his hoofs, I used my black Sakura Glaze pen.  The designer paper and buttons are from the Jovial line (Basicgrey)... oh that paper is yummy.   The brown gingham ribbon is from Bazzill, along with the cardstock.  I used Antique Linen ink to sponge the edges with my Tim Holtz spongy handle thing.

I hope you have a great day! The sun is out today, after a week of rain and clouds on the OR coast, but boy can you feel the Fall coming in the air.  Thanks for stopping by!

Be Scary!

I love making Halloween cards!  I started out trying to play along with the OCLDT sketch last week, but it didn't end up looking anything like the sketch!  I'll try again tomorrow and see if I can follow the sketch!  Nothing was going right last week, so it doesn't surprise me that my card was wonky.

I found this cool paper in my stash from last year, it's called Trick or Treat by Fancy Pants.  The pumpkin is a die from Spellbinders.... I used my oval die in the center to make a little frame. I used the stamp sets On the Fence and Spooky Tags, both new releases from Our Craft Lounge. I added Black Eyeliner Sparkles to the graves, and Black Eyeliner Sparkly Fluff to the bats.  I added some Tuxedo Smooch to the tree, the outlined it all with C1 to give it some shadow.  The trim on the end is made with my EK Success Edger punches I got at Memories of Time.  Love my punches.....

Have a wonderful day! Wish me luck on tomorrow OCLDT sketch.  I hope you join us!

You Rock, Happy Birthday!!

Good afternoon!  Summer is officially coming to an end for us.  The kids are registered, they have their school clothes and supplies, and now the rain has hit the OR coast!  One week to go and they will all be catching that big yellow bus!  Well, except for my Senior... wow, I have a SENIOR this year.  Time flies....

Speaking of time flying, my cousin's daughter is turning 15 today! She's off to the DMV first thing this morning to get her permit.  What happened to our little munchkins?   Nothing like our kids turning into young adults to make me feel OLD! :)

When the girls were here for our MOT class last month, we had a little coloring session/play date.  Two gals drove down from Portland to attend, and we had THE best time coloring and stamping images.  This cutie is from The Greeting Farm.... her name is Ruby.  These images are so much fun to color and just SO adorable!! You can see a huge selection of Greeting Farm stamps here.    The greeting on the outside of the card and the inside are from the set called Say it Big, by Our Craft Lounge.

Now, an image just isn't complete if it isn't "touchable", so I added some Glossy Accents to her hair tie, and Rockin Pink Sparkly Fluff to her boots and top. I also added some sparkle to her necklace with atyou Spica Pens.  Image is colored with Copic markers and stamped with Ranger Soot Black Ink.  The flower is a punch by EK Success, along with the heart edger along the bottom.   The main image is a die is from Spellbinders.  I cut the die in half to mat the main image with, then used the other half for the inside to hold two gift cards.  That cool brad in the center of the flower is a glazed brad from BasicGrey... love those brads! The cardstock is all Bazzill.

Hope you have a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by!
