Baroque Motifs

The gal that sent me my new sewing machine, also sent me some gold metallic thread and a metallic needle (I had NO idea they had that stuff), so, I had to try it out. I did the base part before my box of new goodies arrived, so I knew when my Baroque Motifs showed up, it would be perfect for the gold main image! That thread is amazing... and I'm just SO freaked out and thrilled that I actually did it! I can't wait for my friend Joni to see... she is one of those, "hmmm... I think I'll whip up a outfit for the baby today" type of girls. No pattern... just does it. Hey Joni... I'm SEWING!!!! Okay, Okay. I'll shut up about the sewing already. LOL. (Joni will be so proud, I just KNOW it!) :)

Recipe:

Stamps: Baroque Motifs
Paper: Palette O' Prints, Shimmery White, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Gold Metallic, Purely Pomegranite
Other: Janome Sew Mini Machine, Gold Metallic Thread, Grosgrain, Vintage Brads, Dimensionals

I wasn't going to order the paper.... I was just going to be good and get stamp sets..... RIGHT. LOL. I plan on being so good, then when I get to OEX, I just lose it. I'm happy I got the paper, it really is VERY pretty. This is one of the funnest parts of being a Stampin'Up! demonstrator... PRE ORDERS baby!! Oh... I'm LOVING the new colors!! I think I will use them much more than I did this year's In Colors.

Yes... I'm still sewing! I LOVE my new machine and I have to say, I'm THRILLED with myself that I'm sewing. I need some practice on keeping my lines straight, but it will come right? At least I don't have big thread balls. And, I haven't had the urge to toss it out the window ONCE!

Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Baroque Motifs
Paper: Brocade Background Designer Series Paper, Purely Pomegranate, Blue Bayou, Shimmery White
Ink: Purely Pomegranate, Blue Bayou
Other: Janome Sew Mini Machine (I sewed!), Stitched ribbon, Ice Square Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Crafter's Tool Kit.

Hope you are all having a good day... I'm gonna sew some more! LOL.

You are cracking me up about the sewing! Mostly because I am where you *used to be* when it comes to sewing!! These cards are awesome! Love the brad in the 2nd card - obvious to make it a diamond, but when I looked at mine I wasn't really thrilled with them (only thinking of them as square, duh!). Oh and I also totally relate to losing it in OEX! Ok this is a long comment, but I just love your blog and could gush about it for hours... LOL!

Beautiful cards! I wasn't going to order Baroque Motifs, but with all the great cards I've seen using it, now I just have to. Sigh -- who needs a budget anyway?

And I would imagine there's been quite the run on these machines on eBay. I'm off to check it out now!

Love your cards! I am so glad I ordered Baroque Motifs, it was one I was on the fence about.

You are going to LOVE your Janome Sew Mini. I got mine last year for my birthday. I wanted it mostly for paper crafting but after I got it I discovered faux stiching so my poor mini has been negelected. When my order comes Wednesday I'll have to dust it off and fire it up again. Happy Stamping!
