New Scallop Punch Closure

I didn't have much time to play this weekend, my family had other plans. LOL. I did though, discover a cool thing that you can do with the new Scallop Edge Punch. At first I just punched one time to make like a matchbook fold/closure, but then added scallops to the other side too... isn't it cute? Just make your first punch with the card stock pushed all the way in in the center (pink side), then on the flap, make a little mark on the edge of where the first one ends, then punch the flap side. Cool beans huh?

Here is how it opens:

I also discovered that the Round Rhinestone Brads will fit in the center of the flower button! How cool is that? I think the button may be a little big for the image, but I couldn't help to add it on there because it was so pretty with the rhinestone center.

I stamped the image from the one of the upcoming new hostess sets called Serene Spring with Black Stazon. I started to color the pot with my Aquapainter and some ink from the lid of the new In Color Tangerine Tango Classic ink pad, but then switched when I got to the flowers and the rest of the image to the Blender pens. Did you know you can do that? Just squeeze the lid of your pad before you open it, then use it as a paint palette. I love the blender pens because you can change colors easily and get different shading. I used all the new IN Colors and then added some sparkle with my atyouSpica Glitter Pens.

Here is the recipe:

Stamps: Serene Spring
Paper: Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Pacific Point, Pink Pirouette, Belle Rose Designer Paper.
Ink: Baja Breeze,
Pacific Point, Pink Pirouette, Tangerine Tango, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Black Stazon.
Other: New Buttons, 3/4 inch Circle Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, White Taffeta, Crafter's Tool Kit, Round Rhinestone Brads, Spica Glitter Pens, Scor-pal.

It will all be available next month in the new Stampin'Up! catalog. I can't wait to see what else in store for us!!

Hope you had a great weekend... thanks for stopping by!
