L'Amour
Okay, so my friend Pine has me on a Kraft cardstock kick. I got it out because I ordered her new stamp set and HAD to use Kraft with it, now I can't put it away.
This stamp set is from Lizzie Anne Designs... one of my very favorite stamp companies. :) It's called L'Amour. Those girls are SO awesome at putting together great sets. They always have a nice variety of stamps and sentiments so that your creativity has no limits. I think besides floral sets, my next weakness is sets with hearts. LOVE that butterfly with the heart wings.
September is a really difficult month for me and my family. So, even though I look forward to fall and the kids going to school and the crisp fresh air, there is also a sickness in the pit of my stomach that brings back really difficult memories. I lost my sister in a car accident... she was killed on the 7th and her birthday was the 10th. It's been 18 years now, and although the pain isn't an every day feeling anymore, it always seems to come back with a vengeance in September when I can really feel the hole in my heart and the big void space that she left in my life. I have very dear friend, who also suffered a huge loss this week last year. Her pain is still very fresh. My heart breaks for her. I know what a struggle it is to seem normal to others when you feel like you are broken to pieces inside. I'm sending her this card with a hug just to let her know that I am thinking of her and I love her and I wish I could take away some of her pain.
Here is the recipe:
Stamps: L'Amour
Paper: Kraft, Barely Banana, Whisper White, It's a Party (Heidi Grace).
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Craft Whisper White.
Other: Nesties, Cuttlebug, Dimensionals, Banana Brads, Fairy Tale Ribbon Originals (SU!), Crafter's Tool Kit, Janome Sew Mini, Scor-pal.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend...boy they go by fast. See you tomorrow.

Beautiful card; love the kraft paper. September and October are hard for me, too. Lost my mom, dad, and brother in those months. Fall, though, is still my favorite season. Hugs to you and your friend. TFS your card.
Beautiful card, Cami! I love the Kraft cs, and I like you can't resist a heart stamp! This is adorable, and I am sure your friend will definitely appreciate it. Sorry to hear of the loss of your sister, even if it was 18 years ago, it is a very important part of your life. It also took a lot for you to share it with us. {{Hugs}} Kel
Oh, girl, I'm so sorry. Thanks for sharing that with us - lots of prayers for you today. I hope your peace returns soon.
Your card is adorable.
I have just started using the Craft more too! I found a huge stack of it on a shelf and have "rediscovered" it. I love how it looks in this beautiful card you created!
Thinking of you.... I can't even imagine how much that must hurt. Our friend will be so touched by your card. Thinking of you.......
A beautiful card Cami. My heart goes out to you today. I lost a brother in a card accident in 1978 and it still hurts each year at that time.
Hoping that you can tap into happy memories of her and knowing that she is probably smiling down on you now.
The card is beautiful Cami, just like your heart! Sending you BIG hugs!!!
Cami, your card is gorgeous! I love everything about it. Your sewing looks wonderful!
Hugs and smiles

Beautiful card! I love all those colors together.
God bless you during this difficult time of year.
Cami,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your friend. My sister was murdered just over 7 years ago so I know the pain all too well. Hugs to both of you.

oh, I'm so sorry about your pain. Your card is lovely and it will surely comfort your friend. (((HUGS)))
Cami,
I just LOVE your card. I as sorry to hear about your loss. The three year anniversary of my best friend is this month. We lost her at age 26 to cancer.
I also lost my mother 18 years ago this year. I know how hard it is to lose someone that you love so much. The pain never goes away, but with time things don't hurt as much as they used to. I will keep you in my thoughts.
I understand...September is the month of the loss of my brother 10+ years ago. The void remains and surprisingly to me, the tears still come. But I know, our reunion in heaven will be sweet. Lots of hugs for you Cami!
