Blog Candy Granny Style!

Granny says it's time to GET THIS PARTY STARTED BABY! Let's do it! I'm dancin' in my chair... you do not want to see this.

Friday is the day.... you can get all the new stamp sets from Our Craft Lounge. Friday is also the day, I pick a random winner who will win one of my favorite new sets called Granny's Support Team! Friday is the day we start back up with Beate's Weekend Sketches! Oh, how I missed the sketch girls! Friday is the day I kick off a whole weekend of OCL celebration! Ah... don't ya just LOVE Friday's? Oh, yah, and when I was at CHA, we went to eat at a restaurant called Friday's... it was so GOOD! I forget what we ate... we shared a bunch of stuff.. but it was all super YUMMY. Oh, sorry ... sidetracked. It's my Granny brain. :) Friday on the brain... yeah Friday!

Okay, so let's hear it. Uh... whatever you want to confess. Just leave me a comment so you can have a chance to win. You KNOW how much I love recipes... but they have to be easy. I'm not much of a cook. Have you checked out the other blog candy posts here? Good stuff! :) Heck, you can just leave a comment that YOU LOVE FRIDAYS (the day, not the restaurant).

Okay... I'll be back later this afternoon to share some of the Valentine's I'm making for my daughter's class. I swore this year I was going to start early... I'm hopeless.

Let's hear it for Friday!! So.. who's winning Granny?

Thanks for the chance to win....and C'mon Friday!!!!

Oh, I'd love to win that fun set :) How great Friday could be for someone - great anyway - cause it means I get to sleep in on Saturday!!! :)

I love it that you make it so easy to just leave a comment and have a chance to win. Life is busy for me these days (epileptic son with uncontrolable seizures-even with meds) and I don't get much of a chance to stamp. But I try to get to few blogs every day to "dream".

Thanks for a chance to win.

Have a great day.

This year I finally got my youngest dd's Valentines done early. Now if my oldest dd would tell me if she needs anything to take to school on Friday, I would be all set (she is in 6th grade and they are not having a Valentine's party but a "regular" party and she isn't sure if they are to bring anything in).

Here is a super easy recipe for you:

CREAMY CHICKEN SOFT TACOS

4 frozen boneless, skinless chicken breasts
jar (16 oz.) salsa
1 cup sour cream
6-8 flour tortillas

Place chicken in greased 3 1/2 to 4 1/2-quart slow cooker. Pour salsa over the top. Cover and cook on high heat 6-8 hours or on low heat 10-12 hours. Shred chicken by pulling apart with two forks. During last hour of cooking, stir in sour cream. Makes 6-8 servings.

Fold chicken mix inside warm flour tortillas with lettuce and grated cheddar cheese, if desired.

Oh I love, love, love miss Granny!

Hmmm...recipe? How 'bout sweet, simple and oh so yummy Chicken Cordon Bleu in a casserole?

Spray down the casserole pan with Pam or give it a good grease. Heck, get out two pans and freeze one. :) Or if you're really hungry, make one honkin' big casserole. The deets are for a medium sized casserole that feeds four.

You'll need one can of cream of chicken, mixed with a can of milk. Pour enough to coat the bottom of the casserole into the dish. Coat the bottom with a half a package of Stove Top Stuffing. Top this madness with 2 - 3 skinless, boneless chicken breaks cut up into chunks. I use 3, but we really like chicken. Top that with a half a deli pack of chopped ham cut up in small chunks and top that with a pack of grated swiss cheese. Top the whole thing with the rest of the cream of chicken/milk blend.

Bake at 400 for an hour and a half.

Anonymous said...

Love the new set!!

Swiss Chicken with stuffing
4 chicken breasts, 4 slices swiss cheese, 1 can cream of what ever soup,1 1/2 cups dry stove top stuffing mix. Put chicken in baking pan, cover with swiss cheese slices, sprinkle stuffing mix on top, spread soup over everything. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Easy peasy!!

I love this set!! Not only that, my mother-in-law tells me ALL THE TIME..."put on your big girl underwear" so this is perfect for her! :) I want to share a recipe that is SOOO simple and people just LOVE IT. It's for a really cheesy artichoke dip.

Artichoke dip
1 can drained artichokes
2 cups mayonnaise
1 1/2 cups shredded parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
1 package softened cream cheese

Mix all ingredients in a mixer and bake in the oven @375 for 20 minutes (or until lightly browned on the edges and boiling in the middle)

It's SOOOO good!

Got this from a friend's baby sitter and my family loves it!

I just love this set!! I love the you included "don't forget to squish them"! That's been on my mind a lot lately - one of my best friends recently found a lump by doing just that (I'm *so* proud of her!) - she had it removed last week, and this Friday she gets the test results. Her doctor was 95% sure that it was just a benign mass, but that other 5% has me scared to death. So THIS Friday is a mixed emotion day for me - I'm glad my friend will KNOW this Friday, but I'm also worried that this Friday has the potential of being really awful. I'm sure it won't be though! And I'm sooo excited about the new OCL stuff!!!! (sorry, didn't mean to be a downer in your comments Cami!)

The only day better than Friday is the weekend or vacation!

OK, here's a tasty recipe that's FAST:

Bring 5 cups chicken broth (or water + bullion) to a boil. Add a 10oz. package tortellini pasta (my favorite is Buotoni's Chicken & Herb) and cook according to package directions. Turn heat down to medium. Add a 16 oz. can of diced tomatoes (undrained), a 16 oz. can cannelini beans (rinsed & drained), and 3 tbsp. dried basil (or 1/3 cup fresh). Heat through, about 5 minutes. Add balsamic vinegar to taste (I prefer 1-2 tbsp). Serve each bowl with a little grated Parmesan or Romano on top.

This is one of my favorite super-fast meals, and you can add a salad &/or bread to it in no time flat. Yumm-o!

Funny set! Fridays are good, though I like Mondays too, my hubby goes to work and I have a week home alone to do whatever I want.........quick recipe.....get out a glass pie plate, fill with a softened 8oz cream cheese, spreading to sides smooth, add a 16oz can of Bush Chilli with or without beans, top with shredded cheddar cheese, cook in microwave until cheese melts, watch closely so it doesn't burn, top with chopped fresh cilantro or just leave as is...easy peasy, and ohhhhhhhh so good...I use Tostito chips to dip with, any would do! After today my computer will down until Sunday night...hope I win!

prepare shells as per directions on box and put in a bowl, brown and drain hamburger meat and add to shells, add cheese packet then add rotel (I don't like chunky rotel so I run mine through the blender for a couple of seconds) and mix up until all the cheese is melted. Yummy!!!

Being a single & retired Granny, this set really hits close to home [maybe too close!]. I've got a super easy & yummy recipe for your family; you must try it! Here goes:

1 can cream of chicken soup, 1 can of cheddar cheese soup, 1/2 cup milk, 1 12-oz can of chicken [or about 2 cups of chopped or shredded chicken], 1 pkg egg noodles. Cook & drain noodles; in large casserole bowl, combine all ingredients & cook in 350 degree oven for 1 hour....devour! Yummy!

AND, as I had surgery on my right hand yesterday, I typed this all with my left hand!!! That shows you how much I love your blog, your blog candy AND this recipe!

Wraps

Tortilla shells, cream cheese mixed with Watkins salsa and sour cream mixture spread on tortilla. Black forrest ham layered on top of the cream cheese and then pickled asparagus on top of the ham and roll up. Cut into pieces, serve with Olde Style honey mustard.

I can't wait to see all the new sets!!

I've been thinking of you lately with your call for receip.... Here is a soup that you can make once and have for 3 meals...

Shop in cube 1 turnip, 2.5 lbs of carrots, 1 cauliflower and 3 zuccini. Keep the turnip and carrots together and the cauliflower and zuccini together.
Separate those 2 melanges in 3 portion.

Bring 1 box of chicken broth to boil with 1 box of water. Put 1 part of the carrots and turnip and boiled for 30 minutes. Then add 1 part of cauliflower and zuccini let boil for another 30 minutes. You can add some soup pasta if you wish 10 minutes after you have put the cauliflower and zuccini. ¸

That's it... froze the rest of the vegetables in ziploc so you can use them another time!

I hope you like!

Looking forward to your new releases. I absolutely LOVE this new Granny Support set -- being of the "older" generation, I have tons of friends who would love to receive a card with this image on it. Keep up the cuteness!

That granny just made Friday even better for me! My easiest recipe is "anything someone else made". My hubby cooks meals or my kids love to help so have something they can do most of.
Always tastes the best I'm tellin ya.
Thanks for sharing a free set!
