Funky Floral

Floral, floral, floral... I NEVER get sick of flowers. I don't think I can own TOO flower sets.... although if you asked my family, they may disagree. LOL. This set is from Lizzie Anne Designs...have I told you how much I love Lizzie Ann Designs and all their flowers lately? I do. :)

This layout was inspired by a sketch over at CPS. Cool site if you haven't already checked it out. They have sketches.... very cool sketches.

Paper is from my Basic Grey Mellow Pad. I love this pad! It's 6x6 and is full of the whole mellow line of paper. The stones in the center of the flowers are Rhinestone brads from Stampin'Up!.

Here is the recipe:

Stamps: Funky Floral (Lizzie Anne Designs).
Paper: Mellow Pad (Basic Grey), Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Mellow Moss, Ruby Red.
Ink: Ruby Red, Handsome Hunter, Chocolate Chip.
Other: Jumbo Eyelets, Rhinestone Brads, Circle Punch, Marvy Rectangle Scallop Punch (purple), Crafter's Tool Kit, Dimensionals, Janome Sew Mini, Scor-pal.

OMGosh... you guys are SO nice to me! Thanks for all the nice comments and for the YUMMY recipes! I wasn't joking about that.... I appreciate them. I suck at cooking.... mostly because time gets away from me and then, I'm like.... shoot, dinner! I know that Domino's recipe all too well. I'm totally trying your recipes and thanks for sharing!! MORE.... give me more!! *wink*

There is still time to enter for the candy!! So... what's for dinner baby?????

Have a good day everyone! I'm off to run some errands. I played too many games of Wii bowling this morning with my husband and now I have to hurry before the bus brings Averie home! But hey... I won! And, now I have a pretty sparkly pink ball! How bad is that? We get the kids off to school and then sneak in some bowling in on their Wii.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

adorable card, as always ;)
we're having manacotti tonight. no, don't roll your eyes, it's the super easiest ever manacotti. don't use the shells, use no boil lasagna noodles, soak them in boiled water for about 5 min in a 9x13 (put them in one at a time or they'll stick to eachother) then plop about 1/4 cup of cheesey goodness down on 1 end, spread it out a bit and roll it up. yum-o. i think i'll have to go look at your comments to come up with some new stuff!

Love this card!

We had Shepherd's Pie for supper. (ya know, DH is from Ireland, so we eat alot of meat and spuds!) EaZy PeaZy!
Last night I made double the mashed potatoes (A 5lb bag). So half was for tonights pie.

I brown 1.3 lb hamburg meat with onions, then drain. Place meat at the bottom of a casserole dish. layer peas or corn niblets on top, then layer the leftover spuds.
Cook at 350 for 45 min-1hour.

(personally, I don't like SP, but DH and the kids do)

I love all of your designs. I usually only use SU! stamps and paper and your designs are unique enough to me that I am usually shocked to see a card design and realize that it IS a SU! set!! I realize how many cool images there are in the catalog that I must gloss over. Thanks for the inspiration!

I don't have a recipe handy but don't feel bad about the "domino's recipe" - my very good friend has pizza delivered so much that the delivery guy brought their pizza one night, stuck his head in the door, and said "oh, you got a new sofa. I like it!" - the sofa had been delivered that day, too! (so have a laugh on us!)

I think I love every card you've ever made! :O)

Super easy dinner:
Chicken Tortilla Soup
Bring to a boil 4 cups chicken broth, 2 sliced carrots, 3 sliced celery stalks, and 1 large can canned chicken. Reduce heat and simmer until veggies are tender.

In another pan, bring to boil 2 cups chicken broth. Stir in 2 cups instant rice and 1 TBSP dried onions. Put the lid on and turn off the heat.

In a bowl, put:
2 chopped avocados, 1 bunch sliced green onions, 1 bunch chopped cilantro, 1 can corn (drained) and 1 can black beans (drained and rinsed). Mix well. Stir in 2-3 tsp (or more) lemon or lime juice and garlic salt to taste.

To serve:
Put a scoop of rice, a large ladle-full of soup, and a handful of shredded cheese into a bowl. Top with a large scoop of corn salsa and a dollop of sour cream. Toss a couple of tortilla chips in for looks and chow down.

The leftover salsa is super good to eat with the leftover tortilla chips.

Good quality time with the hubby bowling - LOL!!

Your card is really really cute - love the flowers and the stitching! Nope, not too many flowers, how could that ever be possible!!!

I will leave you a recipe but don't enter me in the blog candy, give someone who is NOT a demo a chance :-)

This is super easy and my kids and husband think I slaved over it all day (nope, just in the crock pot!) Take a roast that is at least three pounds and cover it in olive oil (rub it all in), then put it in the crockpot. Pour a can of Cream of Mushroom soup over it and smooth it over the roast with a spoon. Then, take a package of Lipton Onion soup mix and sprinkle it all over the top. Add 1.5 cups water around the roast and one beef buillon cube (this makes great gravy). Then,
let it cook on low for six hours (while you go and stamp!) and serve over rotini noodles. I usually throw in a side of peas or a salad and dinner is done! Very popular, even with my in-laws - LOL!!!

Hi Cami - I just want to drop by to say "thank you" for keeping up with your blog. It is such a source of inspiration, always. You are always upbeat and it's been such a joy to be in your downline. You don't have to include me in your blog candy - I just wanted to come by and say hello!

Here is one of our family faves:
Place a cube of butter or marg. in crockpot. Put 4-6 b/s chicken breasts on top. Sprinkle with zesty italian dressing packet(you can find them in the salad dressing aisle.)Cook on low for 6 hours. Last half hour of cooking, in a seperate pan, melt 8oz. cream cheese and 1 can cream soup. Add to crockpot and gently mix through. Serve over rice or noodles.
