Friendly Flowers with iTop Centers

Hello stampers! August has just been a crazy busy month! I cannot believe summer is almost over and school time is just around the corner! Does it go faster every year or is it just me? This week is super busy again, with school registration for the kids and a family reunion this weekend at the lake! I'm going to enjoy these last few weeks.

So... I was thrilled when I came home with my new iTop brad maker. I was even happier when I discovered that the small brads fit all the centers of the flowers in our new set called Friendly Flowers. The large brads fit our Tag, You're It! stamp set. How cool is that? One thing that was driving me crazy though... I was having a hard time getting the centers completely lined up in the center of the brad after I punched it out and went to make my brad. I got out my Eclipse masking tape to mask some of the flowers, then a light bulb
moment hit me! I was doing a happy dance when it worked!

Here is what I did:

I cut out a square piece of Eclipse tape (big enough for the size punch I was using, in this case, the small). I stuck it over a piece of scrap cardstock. I stamped my center, then lined it up with the punch and punched it out. I then peeled off the tape (which is now punched in the shape I need for the brad), held it up to the light and put the small brad topper exactly in the middle and pressed down! Whooo Hooo! It was stuck in place so that when I used the tool to set it, it was straight every time! The masking tape takes Copic colors well, and Quickie Glue for a Sparkly Fluffed center! HOW COOL IS THAT? Now I can use all the stamped centers and they will be completely CENTERED. Oh, it's the little things that make me happiest! *giggle*
