Love your cardmaking style. A simple recipe. Have a couple of those.
1 graham cracker pie crust
1 container low fat cool whip
1 or 2 containers fruit flavored low fat yogurt.
Mix cool whip and yogurts together by folding gently. Pour into pie crust. Use spoon to lift up little peaks. Put pie crust cover back on top and chill for 2 hours. Hmmmmm Hmmmmm

I made this last week for my book club - everyone wanted a copy:

Crustless Quiche

broccoli, cut into medium size flowerettes
peppers, diced
onion, thinly sliced or diced
mushrooms, sliced
2 c shredded or diced cheeses *
salt & pepper to taste
1 1/3 c milk
3 eggs
3/4 c Bisquick

Heat oven to 400. Spray 10 inch pie pan or quiche dish.
scatter veggies over bottom of pan, top with cheeses.
Beat milk and eggs in blender, then add Bisquick. Pour this mixture over veggies.
Bake 25-35 minutes. Cool about 10 minutes before serving so it cuts easier.
Refrigerate any left-overs and they re-heat nicely.
*I used cheddar, colby and goat cheeses - use any combination
that you like - I prefer dicing the cheese to using shredded.
You can do most any combo of veggies that you like - I sometimes
use asparagus in season, green onions, sliced black olives.
I often add tiny pink shrimp, crab, salmon, or diced chicken.
The combinations are unlimited.

handful of dried cranberries
handful of pine nuts
your favorite salad dressing (Curry Dijon is my fave)

Cook the chicken according to package directions.
Cube the chicken and place down the center of your wrap. Top with spring mix salad, some cranberries and pine nuts. Add a little salad dressing, wrap up and enjoy. :)

Thanks for the chance to play.

I love making this soup that I found in a Milk Calendar.

Country Pottage soup.....
half a dutch oven filled with water
1 can of chicken broth/stock
2 onions
2 stalks of celery
2 large carrots
1 cup of milk at the end maybe more.
1 bay leaf
salt and pepper.

Bring to a boil

Peel white potatoes (4 to 5) and dice small.

Peel one sweet potato. Cut into small cubes.

Add to pot and boil until potatoes are tender. Take the celery out and then puree all the potatoes and carrots.

Add broth to blender to moisten, easier to puree.

Then add puree mixture to rest of broth in Dutch Oven. Add one glass of milk, stir and simmer.

Voila...a wonderful delicious cream (not heavy) soup for the Autumn.

Add a sprig of parsley to each portion and if you wish a little shredded cheddar for presentation.

Enjoy...

Thanks for posting the blog candy. I love getting my emails saying your blog has been updated I always know it will be something great!

Super yummy Austrian Spitzbuken
1 1/2 cups butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon of vanilla
3 cups flour
your favorite jam

mix together in mixer. spread 2/3 of dough evenly on a cookie sheet. Dough will be sticky I use wax paper and my small pampered chef dough roller. you can also put it in the fridge for a few minutes to have it harden slightly.
spread dough with a thin layer of jam and then drop remaining dough on top in small pieces. (you can also put remaining dough in fridge and then roll out after it hardens and cut fun shapes or designs to make the dish fancy.)
Bake at 375 until golden brown. Usually between 20-30 minutes.

One of my family's favorite treats and it only takes 5 minutes to mix up!

Here is a family favorite soup:

Tomato Basil Soup

4 medium carrots, peeled and finely chopped
1 large onion, finely chopped
¼ cup butter
1 can (49 ounces) chicken broth or 6 cups vegetable broth, divided
1 can (29 ounces) tomato puree
5 teaspoons dried basil
1 ½ teaspoons sugar
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon white pepper
1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk

In a Dutch oven, cook carrots and onion in butter over medium-low heat for 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
In a blender, place ½ of the broth and cooled vegetables; cover and process until blended. Return to the Dutch oven. Stir in the tomato puree, basil, sugar, salt, pepper and remaining broth.
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered for 30 minutes. Reduce heat to low. Gradually stir in evaporated milk; heat through (do not boil).
Yield: 6 servings.

Italian pasta salad
1 lb penne rigate cooked
4 tbsp lemon juice
1-2 tbsp olive oil
2 containers cherry tomatoes ( you could use plum tomatoes chopped but remove the seeds)
2 containers boconcini cheese (I buy the tiny ones but you can buy the larger from the deli and cut it into pieces about the same size as the tomatoes)
2 bunches of basil chopped or shredded (I cut it into a chiffonade)
6 cloves garlic minced
S&P to taste

I mix it all in a bowl and add the well drained hot pasta. It is also good warm and cold. I also dry off my tomatoes, cheese and basil so it doesn't water down the dressing.

We eat this all summer! In the winter, I subsitute pesto for the dressing, just adding extra garlic & lemon juice.

Btw, if I win, I'm happy with the stamps unmounted! Cheaper shipping.

Cami,

You are not a bad blogger - you just have a life that is sometimes more important! Thanks for taking time out of your busy life to share your awesomeness with us!

Hope you enjoy my recipe!

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

1 coffee mug 4 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour (not self-rising) 1 egg
2 tablespoons baking cocoa 3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil 3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
Small splash of vanilla

Add the dry ingredients to the mug and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla, and mix again.

Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.

EAT! (This can serve 2 if you want to share!)

And why is this a dangerous cake recipe? Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

Just recently found your blog and have been a subscriber ever since! My simple and quick receipe was found on the internet a couple of Christmases ago (Sorry, I don't remember the site) I call it one minute fudge.
1 can of frosting (not whipped)
1 bag of of chips (as in chocolate, peanut butter, etc.)
Scoop the frosting out of the original can and into a bowl. Microwave on high for one minute. Take out, stir, and add the chips. Keep stirring until they are melted. Spread in pan or on cookie sheet. Pop into frig to harden, and cut. Great for gift giving, and no one will believe what it really is! By the way my favorite is chocolate frosting with the peanut butter chips. Uuummm!

Hi, Cambria--

I don't think you're a slacker at all! I know full well how busy a household with twins can get...we have boy/girl twins who are almost 10. I, too, stop by to get inspiration and oftentimes a laugh. :-) My favorite story by far is the one about your daughter swallowing her tooth. Did the toot fairy ever come? :-) As for a recipe:

Pizza Dip:

Spread a block of softened cream cheese on the bottom of a 9x13 dish. Spread pizza sauce on top of that and then layer with your favorite pizza toppings. Bake in an oven at 350 degrees for about 15minutes or until the cheese bubbles. Serve with tortilla chips or Frito Scoops. We love this as a snack and my stamp ladies love it, as well. VERY EASY!!

Thanks for sharing your talent with us anytime you can. First things always come first. Spring and summer are my favorite seasons but i wait for fall to make this easy but elegant dessert

Applesauce Donut Sundaes:

For Each Serving:

1 Applesauce or Spice Cake Donut
1 Slice canned pineapple, drained
1-2 teaspoons cinnamon sugar
1 teaspoon butter, melted
1 scoop Ice Cream

Slice off thin slice of donut to make flat and even. (Eat this part immediately). Place donuts on parchment or foil lined baking sheet. Lay drained pineapple slice on top of donut. Sprinkle with sugar miixture and drizzle with melted butter.

Broil 4-6 inches from top oven unit until sugar begings to melt and bubble-1 to 2 minutes. Remove from oven. Place one donut on individual serving plate. Top with 1 scoop of vanilla or butter pecan or buttle brickle ice cream. Serve immediately.

Truly, it takes longer to read this recipe than to make it.

My fav quick recipe is: buy a roll of chocolate chip cookie dough (you know, in the refrigerated case at the store), spread this into a square pan and cook acording to directions until ALMOST done (usually 1 minute less than the package says). Then cut up a package of the small Snickers candy bars, place these on top of the almost cooked cookie dough, finish cooking for that last minute, until the snickers melt. Spread that melted candy a little, let them cool a little, cut them, and get a big old glass of milk. They're wonderful!

Hi, Cami!

I should be blow drying my hair right now...LOL!

Broccoli Salad

2-3 cups of broccoli fleurettes
1 small finely chopped red onion
raisins
bacon bits (I use real bacon)
chopped cashews
mayonnaise (real mayo, not miracle whip)
milk
lemon juice (to taste)
sugar (to taste)

Use a small bowl to mix the milk, mayo, lemon juice and sugar together. The lemon juice may curdle the milk a bit but if you mix it up really well, you can't even notice.

Mix the sauce in the other ingredients, add a little pepper to taste (taste it before you add any salt because the bacon sends it a bit over the top in the salt department).

The whole recipe is super easy but I don't really have any measuements. I'm a bit of an eyeball chef.

Thanks for the chance at the candy! I'm off to blowdry my hair. Have a great week!

Hey Cami!
Sorry to hear about the allergy troubles. My oldest has them too, really bad.
My favorite easy thing to make in the fall is homemade "doughnuts" You just thaw a frozen bread dough loaf, let it rise a bit, then cut small chunks off and drop in the fry daddy. When they're cooked and hot, drop them in a bit of cinnamon and sugar and cover them well. Yummo! They remind me of my childhood :0)
Have a great week!

Cook in oven for 30 minutes on 400 degrees, or cook longer at lower temp.
I cooked mine yesterday while at church, 300 degrees for 3 hours.
Very yummy and so very easy.

What fun to read everyone's recipes. This is the recipe for our favorite dip. 2 cans of Hormel chili (I like the hot one) and one brick of cream cheese. Heat in mircrowave for 1 min. then stir and continue heating 30 sec. at a time until it's all mixed up and hot. Dip with Scoops or your favorite corn chip.

This one is in a very recent Southern Living magazine, and has been an INSTANT hit at our house, especially our 4 year old!

Creamy Slow Cooker Chicken
6 chicken breasts
2 t seasoned salt
2 T oil
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 (8ox) block light cream cheese
1/2 c dry white wine
1 pack italian dressing mix (not zesty)
8 oz pack sliced fresh mushrooms

Sprinkle chicken with seasoned salt. Brown in pan with oil 2-3 minutes on both sides, reserve drippings. Put chicken in slow cooker. Put mushrooms on top of chicken. In the pan with drippings on medium heat, mix remaining ingredients and stir until cream cheese is creamy. Pour on top of chicken. Crock 4-6 hours on low.

Everyone gets too busy to blog once in a while. OF course we missed your cards! My fave quick recipe is Chicken Pot Pie, made with leftover chicken, a can of cream of celery (or whatever you like) soup, and frozen veggies. Heat it all on the stove, put in a casserole dish, top with refrigerator biscuits and bake according to biscuit directions. YUM!

Boy did I pick a good day to check out your blog. Hope I'm the lucky one. Those sets look great.

No real quick recipes off the top of my head. On a really busy night I usually stop and pick up one of those rotisserie chickens at Costco or the grocery store. Really good and easy.
