1 Yr. Celebration and Blog Candy!!

Whooo Hoooo... so it's been one year! I can't believe I'm an official "blogger". I'm going to give out blog candy all month long... once a week until the end of the month.

Leave a comment, any comment..... of course if you can't think of anything, you can share your favorite easy family recipe for dinner! LOL. Please put what number your comment is... it makes it a little easier to find who won when I put you all in to random.org. I'll draw on Sunday! Candy includes one Party Punch stamp set, One roll of Regal Rose Ribbon, and 12 assorted sheets from Accent and Element kits (with a tin).

I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for making my first year so much fun! Your comments truly make my days. I feel so lucky to have so many "friends" out there. It's been fun getting to know some of you. Your support and friendship means the world to me!

Have a super day and thanks for stopping by! Good luck!! Don't forget to check back next Wednesday for MORE blog candy! :)

Cambria, Happy Blogoversary! You have an awesome site and I love that you make so many delightful paper crafts. It's great to see projects that aren't always cards -- it helps me remember how versatile my stamps can be. (Another justification for the constant purchasing!)

A dinner? Crockpot: one sliced onion and one pork tenderloin (nothing else). Cover and cook all day on low. Toss the onion. Shred the meat. Return to pot with sauce and heat through another 30 minutes or so on high. Eat. Makes a great sandwich, salad, baked potato topping and Sheppard's Pie!

Ok...I'll be the first to leave my fastest, easiest dinner recipe:

Mix together in a bowl one jar of salsa and one jar of all-fruit apricot spread (like Polanders). Put chicken breasts in crockpot and pour sauce over it. Cook low 10-12 hours. Serve over rice.

Love your blog, Cami!!!

Hi Cambria: I love your blog, loved your work long before that on SCS.

My favorite (and easy) recipe is a pork dinner:

1 pork bone-in butt
1 onion
1 can chicken broth

Throw all in a crock pot on high for 4 hours stir and continue on low for 4 hours. You can serve as is or sometimes we strip the roast off and drain the liquid out, add in BBQ sauce and have chopped BBQ pork sandwiches. I have been doing this like once a week as it is so easy and the house smells SOOO good!

Time flies when your having fun doesn't it!!! Love your blog, I come here for inspiration all the time! Easy recipe:

Shredded BBQ Sandwiches

2 lb boneless pork butt (or beef)
1/2 bottle of BBQ sauce
1 onion (or 1/4 cup dehydrated onion)

Add to crock pot and cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-5. Shred when done and return to pot. Heat for another 25-30 min and then serve.

I find lots of inspiration in your projects, thanks for sharing, and I really enjoy reading about your family and seeing pictures of your trips to the lake, etc. Here's a quick recipe:

1 whole chiken, cut up, or whatever chicken pieces you prefer
1 can stewed tomatoes
1 small-med onion, chopped
1 can green beans or garbanzo beans
salt, pepper and granulated garlic to taste
steamed rice, white or brown, optional

brown chicken, add condiments to taste. add onion and toss around until onion is browned. add stewed tomatoes and beans of choice (or both!), cover and lower heat. turn chicken over after a few minutes and cook through. serve w/ steamed rice if you choose to.

Think I am #174...

Congrats on 1 year! I love your blog. :-)

We are Italian so I love all things pasta. Here's a great recipe for pasta with a white clam sauce that we've been having a lot of lately - yum! I got this off the 'net when I couldn't reach my mom to remember how to make the sauce (LOL!) but it's as good as hers but don't tell her I said so.

INGREDIENTS
1 (16 ounce) package dry linguini
1 onion, chopped
6 cloves garlic, chopped
3 tablespoons olive oil
4 (6.5 ounce) cans minced clams
1/2 cup butter
salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons dry white wine

DIRECTIONS
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add linguini and return water to a boil. Let linguini cook until al dente; drain well.

In a large skillet, saute the onion and garlic in olive oil until the onions are translucent. Drain the cans of minced clams, reserving half of the juice.

Stir the clams, reserved juice, butter, salt and pepper, and wine. Simmer the mixture for 20 minutes, until the sauce has reduced 1/3 and has thickened.

Spoon the clam sauce over the linguini and serve.

I think I am number 177 but I am not sure how accurate I am....I am basing my number on that it says "176 Comments" so I am only supposing I am 177. I want to say that there are so many things I LOVE about your blog...that your style echos my style, you have a passion for stamping, and we are both moms of TWINS!!! HOW FUN!!! Thanks for sharing your work with us...we are blessed because of it.

I might be 187 but it's hard to tell. Hmm, my favorite easy dinner:
Cream of Corn soup
1 can of cream of celery soup
1 can of creamed corn
2 cans of milk

Heat thoroughly. Yum!
