For Father

Oh, I'm so proud..... almost as proud as when I discovered I can sew. Well, sew on cards that is. Another thing I could never quite do is coloring with the Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. My friend Lana is the QUEEN of Gamsol and Prismacolor Pencils. I always admire her coloring. Now, I know this isn't anywhere near Lana quality coloring, but nonetheless.... I DID IT!

The only thing I used for the coloring is the Pure Color Pencils from Stampin' Up! and one blender stump (that my friend Lana sent me YEARS ago.) and some Gamsol. I did it! Maybe that big ole tin of Prismacolors was just too many color options for me. Maybe, if I can master the Pure Color Pencils, I can get brave, dust off my tin, and sharpen my Prismacolors. I am surprised at how easy it is. Now I just want to color!!

Here is the recipe:

Stamps: For Father
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Summer Picnic Designer Paper.
Ink: Black Stazon
Other: Pure Color Pencils, Gamsol, Blender Stump, Crafter's Tool Kit, Old Olive Brads, 1/4 inch Circle Punch, Photo Corner Punch, Dimensionals, SAB Rub-Ons, Janome Sew Mini, Scor-Pal.

Hope you are all having a wonderful Saturday. I'm off to make some deviled eggs to take up to Grandma's for Easter dinner. I know, I know, Easter was last weekend, but none of us could stand celebrating another holiday without my parents, so we are having dinner this weekend. Did I tell you my parents are home???? Whooo Hooo!

Thanks for stopping by!

This turned out great! I don't know why, but I have been so hesitant to try this technique...maybe I'll have to dust off my tin and get started!

I LOVE your coloring...in fact, I love all that you do. You are SOOO talented.

I have a question, though. I've long wondered what your scrap area looked like, and you shared that recently. But how do you get your AWESOME photos? Do you have some sort of special set up?

I check your blog every single day and learn so very much. Thanks for sharing.

Cami, it is wonderful, you always surprise me. I am still wonderful what gamsol is all about, it appears in my brain somewhere, I cannot recall how it is used and how does it relate with color-pencils.
Anyways, your cards is always pleasant to the eye.
