Oh, Those DANG Monkeys!!!
I love my friend Joy so much... I do, but she is NOT good for my addiction..... er, I mean hobby. Every once in awhile she sends me images stamped out for me to play with. I love it, but it's bad, bad, bad for my checkbook. Every time she does it, I just want to order MORE stamps. She KNOWS these monkeys are my weakness. I already got the bucket deal, now I need these new ones too. How can your resist them? HOW? If I didn't know she was SO sweet, I'd accuse her of being evil. LOL.
So, my sweet Grandma is busy all the time. She has cribbage groups, bridge groups, Nile, she volunteers for SMART at the school... you'd never believe she is 87 years young. Last year, for one of her groups, she gave them some cards I had made as the door prize and they just loved them. So, today is her Nile meeting and it's her turn to bring a prize so she asked if I'd make up some more cards.
This little tote bag is one that my friend Leslie designed. I've wanted to make one forever, so I finally gave it a try. You can see her tutorial on her blog Running With Scissors... girl is bomb. :)
Here are a couple of cards that I put inside. Thanks for the images Mounds!! I do really love ya girl. :)
The monkeys are new from Stampendous and the paper is from Heidi Grace, Paradise Point line, including the paper on the tote.
I only have a few Copic markers, but I LOVE the ones I have. I started with the eSsentials pack, and since then have added a few more. I'm still working on the coloring part.... I think I need MORE markers for shading... yah, that's it... NEED MORE. I made these easy and with little embellishments since I wanted to squeeze as many into the tote as possible.
Grandma was thrilled... I hope the lucky winner likes them too. I colored some more images that Mounds shared with me that I'll show ya later in the week. Baylor is still home sick today, so my computer time is up!
Have a great day everyone! Thanks for stopping by!!
PS... for the tote, I used the AMAZING sticky tape from Scor-pal, called Scor Tape. I just got it and LOVE it! You get a TON on a roll and it's AWESOME stuff. :)
