Copic Candy!!!

Copics anyone???? Look what Marianne at Copic Markers gave me to share!

I'm Baaaaaack! Oh baby..... I cannot even tell you how much fun I had with Marianne. I had to keep reminding myself to close my mouth. AMAZING. I would have paid SO much more for that class. I am going to be a Marianne groupie. If you are anywhere near Medford, OR this coming Friday (April 18th), you are CRAZY if you don't sign up and get Copic Certified. This class and Copic markers WILL BLOW YOUR MIND. I was gasping out loud. GASPING! I love Marianne and Copic Markers!!!! I had SO much fun!! I can't wait to share with you all the cool things these markers can do!

As soon as I arrived, I received three hugs from Marianne.... so thanks girls!! Marianne did indeed give me your hugs!! I got to meet stampers that are in some of my stamp groups... it was SO fun to put names to faces. I wish we could have hung out longer! Everyone was as excited as me.... so can you imagine? We all wanted to just bottle up Marianne and take her home (her AND her Copics).

If you leave a comment (I love easy recipes *wink*) , I'll have random.org choose a winner on Friday! Candy includes 1 Copic Wide Y15 (yellow), 2 Copics G14, G16 (Apple Green & Malachite), 2 Copic Sketch B21 & B23 (Baby Blue & Phthalo), 2 Copic Ciao E93 & E95 (Tea Rose & Flesh Pink), 1 Twinkling Like Stars Spica Glitter Pen and 1 Wine Copic Multiliner all in the little Copic Bag to go!

I have SO much to catch up on today, but hopefully this evening I can put together some of the images I colored this weekend. See ya soon... thanks for stopping by!

Glad you had a great time!! I met a lady at the local Hobby Lobby recently who was going to be doing a Copic Certification class. Wonder if it would have been your Marianne? I don't know how many people COPIC has that teach these classes. This lady was very nice and explained lots to me. She was very helpful even though I was not able to make a purchase that day. I would sure love too. Maybe I can win my first ones, and build on them from there. I need to be able to prove to myself I will use them before I start another "collection".

WOW! this looks like fabulous candy! I would love to have these and give them a try :)

Very cute card!! These are fabulous super easy cookies. They don't last long in my house!

Sugar Cookies

4 C flour
1 t baking powder
1 C butter
1 heaping C Sugar
2 eggs beaten
1 t soda
¼ Cup milk
½ t salt
1 t vanilla

Sift flour, baking powder and salt; cut in butter with a pastry blender as for a pie.
In another bowl, add the soda to the sugar and when well mixed add to eggs, milk and vanilla. Now pour this into the flour mixture and mix until smooth. Roll out and cut with cookie cutter. Bake at 350 until lightly browned. Approx 10 minutes. This is a very easy dough to roll.

Thanks for this chance to win!

A fav recipe of the family is Apricot Chicken.

Place chicken pieces (with or without bones) in an ovenproof dish.
Sprinkle with french onion soup powder.
Pour apricot nectar over so that liquid just covers the meat. (Apricot halves can also be added but I have a DH who isn't so keen on this addition.)
Cook in a moderate oven for approx 1 hour. [Alternatively this can be cooked in the microwave.]

oh yes, i really need another addiction!! i am so glad you had such a great time. very good. hmmm.. recipies? easy?
- chop up some chicken (white or dark)
- marinate in teriyaki sauce marinade for about an hour
- chop up onion, red/green/yellow bell peppers, carrots, brocchli, and any other veggie you want ( i like cabbage too!)
- get a pot of rice going
- heat up a heavy sauce pan with just enough oil (preferable peanut, but veggie or canola is just fine) to coat the pan
- season with salt/peper/ginger to taste, then cook the chicken, marinade juice and all
- remove from pan to a plate when almost done
- in same pan, cook veggies for about 10min or desired doneness; add salt/pepper to taste
- then add the chicken back to the pan and cover to steam. add more teryaki sauce if you like and let it all steam and get happy!

viola! serve over rice or noodles. enjoy!

Are Copics hard to use? Why do you need lessons? Are they a lot different to use than Marvys or Tombows? Must admit that some of the work I see with them is beeaauuttttifffulll or should I say you bewty.

Recipe - quick appetizer
Flat bread (tortilla, lavash, etc)
Spread with sweet chilli sauce
sprinkle with cheddar
Bake in Toaster oven about 10-12 minutes.
Slightly cool and cut into bite size pieces.

I'm enjoying the tutorials with the copics....I haven't bought any yet but boy would I like to have some.

My no fail dinner recipe that's sooooo easy....

Turkey cutlets, fresh rosemary, 2 jars of fat free turkey gravy, fettucine noodles. Brown the turkey cutlets on both sides in a little olive oil on medium heat. Season to taste, salt pepper garlic. Add the turkey gravy and simmer until heated through when the turkey is no longer pink. At the same time, cook pasta by package instructions, drain. Add fresh rosemary to the turkey/gravy mixture. Serve turkey/gravy over the pasta. Add a salad and some fruit and you have an easy meal!

Hi Cami! Thanks for all the "toots." You make it sound so easy! I KNOW you love recipes, so here is one for you - it's an appetizer, not a meal:

Slow Cooker Reuben Dip- Yum!

INGREDIENTS
1 (16 ounce) jar sauerkraut, drained
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
2 cups shredded cooked corned beef
1/4 cup thousand island dressing

DIRECTIONS
In a slow cooker, combine the sauerkraut, cream cheese, Swiss cheese,
corned beef and thousand island dressing. Cover, and cook on high for
45 minutes if you're in a hurry, low for longer if you're not, or just
until hot and cheese is melted. Stir occasionally while cooking. Serve
with cocktail rye or crackers.

#460 (I think)

I really don't cook that often, my husband does most of the cooking, and when I do cook it usually a big deal so...that said.. I "borrowed" this recipe from the All Recipes website because I am so in the mood for summer and grilling and because I LOVE Texas so here is my recipe:

INGREDIENTS
5 pounds lean ground beef
6 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons hickory seasoning (optional)
salt and pepper to taste
2 cups chopped onion
2 cups chopped fresh mushrooms
2 cups chopped cooked ham
3 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

DIRECTIONS
Preheat a grill for high heat. When the grill is hot, lightly oil the grate.
In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, hickory seasoning, salt and pepper until well blended. Make 20 balls, and flatten into patties. On one half of the patties, distribute the onions, mushrooms, ham and cheese. Carefully cover the piles with the remaining patties, making sure to seal all of the edges of the patties together tightly and enclose the filling.
Grill the patties for 8 to 10 minutes per side, or until meat is well done, and cheese in the center is melted.

Yummy! And so are those delicious Copic markers! Lucky you! I have a few but they are a little intimidating to me. Thanks for the share!

Here's a good & easy recipe for you -

Graham Cookie Bars
Line a jelly roll pan with aluminium foil and lay your graham crackers on it.

1 stick of margarine
1 stick of butter
1/2 cup sugar
Cook on stove top until a little thick (I do this until it broils for a small amount of time) (remember I cooked this batch, I shared with ya'll, too long).

Pour the mixture over the graham crackers, sprinkle with chopped pecans and bake in a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes only.

Cool completely and then break into pieces.
