Carousel Note Tote

HA HA ..... it rhymes! I finally had some time to play with my Carousel Notes (available in the Occasions Mini) and came up with this a little purse! Remember the tutorial for the bagalopes? I made a big bagalope with the envelope that comes with the Carousel Notes, then sandwiched it in between two Notes covered with Afternoon Tea Designer Paper. I stitched a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock across and added some taffeta ribbon. I then added a big flower (stamped with the Polka Dot Background stamp with Close to Cocoa craft ink) and pearl from the Pretties Kit, some jumbo eyelets for the handles, with stitched Groovy Guava Ribbon. Whala.... little gift bag all ready to go!

Here is a photo of the inside from the top view.

I don't have the exact measurements. I can write a tutorial later next week. I scored my envelope at 1 inch on three sides, then trimmed some off the top. The scallop notes are scored so that seven scallops are tucked under, which makes the bottom of the bag. I did not cover the flaps on the bottom with paper.

I totally LOVE the Pretties Kit... can you believe it's the first time I've used it? What a treasure box of pretties indeed! :) Can't wait to make more custom flowers with it.

Here is the recipe:

Stamps:
Polka Dot Background
Paper: Carousel Notes, Afternoon Tea Designer Paper, Chocolate Chip.
Ink: Craft Close to Cocoa
Other: Pretties Kit, 1/4 inch Circle Punch, Crop-a-dile, Jumbo Eyelets, Groovy Guava Stitched Ribbon, Chocolate Taffeta Ribbon, Janome Sew Mini, Scor-pal.

Have a great day everyone. Thanks for stopping by.

Beautiful!! Thank you for always having great ideas. Just one question - I cannot sew very well. Is sewing on the cards easier than sewing on fabric? I have never tried it.
