Girly Out of This World

Who says that astronauts have to be boys? Heck no... there are lots of girls up in space! Of course if I were to go, I'd HAVE to have a pink space suit... with flowers. *wink* And a pink rocket.... guess I'm not going (WHEW!)

I think this is one of my all time favorite sets from Lizzie Anne Designs. See the google eyes on the alien? Dang, he is cute. I should have made him pink too.... lol.

I made the sky with a stipple brush. I masked space ship, astronaut, alien and planet, then stippled the color all around. Then I decided to make her a flower suit, so I stamped her again on some scratch card stock, then stamped some flowers over her with the background set In The Background. Colored and cut out her new suit, then glued it on top. She is stylin' baby.

The saucer is colored with Copic Markers, expect for the disk part.... I used my Marvy Gel Excel Metallic Pen. Then, I added my favorite Stampendous Dot Stickers for windows... pink of course. Why do you think that alien likes her? He likes pink too. Are those windows? What do they call space windows? Space ship windows? Maybe they are lights? Whatever they are, they are pink and gorgeous. I love that you get so many of the stickers on each strip and in so many sizes. You have to see them to believe how much they shimmer.

Here is the recipe:

Stamps: Out of This World, In The Background
Paper: Whisper White, Blue Bayou, Pretty In Pink
Ink: Palette Noir Black, Copics, Craft White
Other: Google Eyes, Sakura Stardust Pen, Marvy Gel Excel Metallic Pen, Stampendous Dot Stickers, Quickie Glue Pen, Scor-Pal.

Spring Break is over for my kids, but I don't think I'm sending anyone back to school tomorrow. Baylor was blowing chunks this weekend, and the other three have horrible sore throats. Jayce has an ear ache too. I'm going to see if I can get everyone into the Dr. Oh, it's gonna be a Monday for sure! Maybe they will all wake up and totally be fine.... yah, that's it.

Hope you all had a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by to visit me.

Had to comment on this one. If I had just seen the card, I might have not appreciated it as well as having read your comments that go along with it. It's very cute! I subscribe to your blog in a Reader, and although I may not comment, my printer can attest to the fact that I print off inspiration from you!

Thanks so much for sharing and I DO hope your little ones are feeling better very soon!
