Princess Party

I'm SO not a scrapper. Someday, I will be a scrapper, but right now, I'm not. I'd love to be better at it, but it just doesn't come easy to me. I hope when I have more time to do it, it will be easier for me. LOL.

I had a workshop quite a few years ago, where I met a new girl named Michelle. She was so cute and so excited to stamp. Over the years, she has become a REALLY good friend. That gorgeous girl in the upper right corner is Michelle with her adorable daughter Ashley. She is the kind of friend who will stop by with coffee and doughnuts totally unexpected just because she knows you are having a bad day. The kind of friend you know would be there in a heartbeat if you needed her.... even though she is being super mom, wife, cook and totally swamped juggling her own life. The kind of friend you hold on tight to, and look forward to growing old with.... and maybe someday sitting around the table scrappin photos of your kids with. I feel blessed to have her. Thanks for being my friend Michelle. :)

Michelle's daughter Ashley is just too cute. She totally believes she is a princess. Not just for her 4th birthday, but every day of the year. Ahhhh.... to be four again. So, for her birthday, Michelle had a princess party for her. It was SO cool and my Averie just had a blast. Michelle made all those crowns and each girl got to pick out their own. The whole party was princess perfect and all the girls had a total blast. Michelle was nice enough to let me borrow her photos so that I could make a little album for Ashley with my Once Upon a Time set from Lizzie Anne Designs. When she dropped off the CD, I thought I'd try scrappin a page..... and this is what I ended up with. I gave them to Michelle, and she was so sweet..... she made me FEEL like a scrapper. See why I love that girl? You can click on the photos to see them larger.

Here is the recipe:

Stamps: Once Upon a Time (Lizzie Anne Designs)
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Flowers for You Designer Paper, Pink Passion, Lovely Lilac, Whisper White, Shimmery White.
Ink: Craft Pink Passion, Palette Noir Black, Copics.
Other: Cricut, Boho blossoms Flower Punch, Soft Subtle Brads, Dimensionals, Crafter's Tool Kit, Rectangle Mary Scallop Punch, Uniball White Gel Pen, Sakura Stardust Glitter Pen, Black Glaze pen,

I had a workshop on Saturday with my girls, which was the highlight of my weekend. I woke Sunday morning to a phone call from my grandma that she was having a hard time breathing. I hate that panic.... total panic. After spending half the day in the ER, she is home and feeling better..... determined not to miss her Cribbage card game today. They changed some of her medication and we will see her Dr. this week. I told my Mom on the phone that we were both out of big girl panties and ready for them to come home. LOL. This was AFTER she said that they would be on the way home this week from TN. I did not want make them feel like they have to come home early, but I was SO happy to hear that they are indeed heading home. My kids cannot wait to see that big ole bus heading up the street !!

Hope you all had a great weekend. I'll show you the little book I made for Ashley later in the week. LOVE this set from LAD. It was hard to put it up.... for now. :) Thanks for stopping by!

Now I feel like I need to go and scrap. Talk about a hobby where you will never be caught up! I spent my weekend with an egg box and I really should have spent it sorting photos.

I think your scrap pages are great Cambria! It is funny though, when I joined SU! a year ago, I had never stamped and don't feel cards come easy to me, but give me a 12x12 page, and I am all over it!! *STAMPIN HUGS* Alex

You're your own worst critic. Love the pages! I thought they came out perfect. I'm a fan of multiple pictures on layouts anyway. The more the merrier.

Cute pages, looks like you're a scrapper to me :)

I think you're layouts are lovely. Did you ever try scrapping 8 1/2 x 11. I made about 10 12x12 layouts and finally gave up...it took me a week or longer to do one layout...waaaay too much for me..once I switched it was like a lightbulb moment!

You did a great job! I love the colors and that LAD stamp set. The girls are gorgeous.

I have found my family, including myself, LOVE details. When we get older we want to know who everyone is, where it was taken, including the address, and date. I believe we are like this because we are left with a bazzillon photos after my mom's death and have no way of knowing the who, what, where, when, or why. We have some guesses. TFS.
