Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #47
TGIF baby! Another Friday, another Beate's Weekend Sketch! Another awesome challenge... dang, Beate's sketches rock. Hope you can find some time to play sketches with us over the weekend!
The top part of the main image is shimmery white card stock, colored with my Copic Wide E31. I took a folded paper towel doused in Colorless Blender Solution (inside my embossing tray) and used it as a stamp pad to stamp the flower to lightly lift off some color. I made the bottom portion by taking strips of my Eclipse Masking Tape and making stripes, then using the chisel end of marker colors YR09, YR24. I lifted the tape, then colored the white spots with marker YG95. See the dew drops? They were clear. Leann actually had this idea in Eugene about 2:30 am and she went crazy making custom colored dew drops! With each color we gasped with joy. Yep, you guessed it, we had the air gun. Run some adhesive across a piece of scratch paper, stick a few dew drops on it, then spray away! Perfectly matching dew drops every time baby. How cool is that? I am over the top in love with Copics! I tried resistance.... I really did.
Here is this weekend's sketch and the rest of Beate's awesome sketch team:
Charmaine Ikach
Jenn Balcer
Laurie Schmidlin
Lori Craig
MaryJo Albright
Here is the recipe:
Stamps: In The Meadow (Lizzie Anne Designs)
Paper: Shimmery White, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive.
Ink: Creamy Caramel, Brilliance Graphite Black, Copics YR09, YR24 & YG95.
Other: Marvy Oval Scallop Punch, Coluzzle, Clear Dew Drops, Crafter's Tool Kit, Dimensionals, Eclipse Masking Tape, Old Olive Poly-Twill Ribbon, Scor-Pal.
Love that sentiment... "May all your weeds be wildflowers." I wonder if I'll have enough flower sets? Do you have a ton of flowers too... or is it just me? I know this set from LAD will be a long time favorite flower set. I gave up resisting flower sets, just like I gave up resisting Copics... LOL.
Have a super weekend everyone! Hope you find time to do something you love! And, Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out there! Hope you get lots of hugs and kisses.

Your cards are always so beautiful...and I just love your idea of the the masking to make stripes!!!
Have a wonderful, wonderful Mother's Day!
Beautiful card! I'm so happy to hear that you are enjoying your Copics! As for the Dew drops, I have clear ones that I'll sometimes punch out a hole in my pattern paper and stick it under the bottom of the dew drop to make them match perfectly too. And since I haven't got any Copic markers, I've been using my Sharpies (when I have an appropriate color) to color mine. Can't wait to get Copics so they'll REALLY match!
Gorgeous card! I just love your blog Cami.
Happy Mother's Day to you! Have a great weekend.
