Older & Wiser

One of my downline (and friend) got this set for me.... it's a level three hostess set from Stampin'Up! called Older and Wiser. (Thanks Nancy!) I adore this turtle. And, the sentiments in the set are just perfect.... especially for me. :)

The turtle is colored with my Copics, then masked, then airbrushed blue with my dawg (B21). I decided later that he need to be on some dirt, so I colored some with Copic E34. One more thing I love about Copic markers..... you can layer and layer and layer color. Even if you have it too dark to start with, you can take color away with the colorless blender. The paper won't pile.... it just amazes me. Can you see the texture on the shell? I did that just by touching the tip of the chisel end over and over in little spots with the blender pen.

Here is the recipe:

Stamps: Older and Wiser (Stampin'Up!)
Paper: Brilliant Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Jersey Shore Designer paper, Whisper White.
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Copic Markers
Other: Marvy Round Scallop Punch, Coluzzle, Bold Bright Brads, Crafter's Tool Kit, Small and Large Oval Punches, Designer Label Punch, Uniball White Pen, Grograin Ribbon, Scor-Pal.

Hope you all had a super day....... tomorrow is TGIF! :)
