Sorry, no recipe from me. I still live with my parents and my mom does the cooking, so I don't know much about it. Great candy, so I hope I still get a chance to win! Greetings from Belgium, Annelies

Here's a recipe for a very quick and easy dinner:

Broccoli and Cheddar Frittata

1 tbsp butter
2 c. chopped broccoli florets and stems
1 onion, chopped
1 sweet red pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ tsp each salt and pepper
8 eggs
¼ c. milk
½ c. shredded Cheddar cheese
2 tbsp. minced fresh parsley

In 9 or 10 inch non stick skillet, melt butter over medium heat; cook broccoli, onion, red pepper, garlic, salt and pepper, stirring occasionally, until broccoli is tender-crisp, about 5 minutes.

In bowl, whisk eggs with milk pour over broccoli mixture. Cover and cook over medium-low heat until bottom and side are firm but top is still slightly runny, about 7 minutes.

Sprinkle with cheese; cover and cook until centre is set and cheese is melted, about 3 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley.

WOW! What a great day !! I am kind of a quick cooking mommy so you know my fav is to throw a jar of Prego & frozen meatballs; let them simmer & then I just need to boil Spaghetti later. One huge bit of info is buy those crock pot bags!! Amazing & makes clean up sooooo easy! Thanks for this opportunity; I am just starting my Copic collection!

Oh my gosh--the best comfort food from the crockpot is Shredded Chicken Sandwiches: It can be prepared ahead and reheated, it keeps for several days, and it can be frozen.

Crockpot Chicken Sandwiches
1 can (50 oz) boned chicken, undrained (you can use 3 lbs. of chicken that you cook and shred yourself)

1 10 3/4 oz. can cream of chicken soup (low-fat, low sodium work fine)

1 sleeve (inner package) buttery oval crackers, such as Town House, crushed (low-fat work fine Ritz work too.)

Mix all ingredients together in slow cooker. Cook on low 4 hours. Serve on buns.

This is GREAT! Like sloppy joes, except chicken and YUMMIER!!!

I love Brisket in the crockpot. Put some Guinness (or other dark beer) over the brisket and add in some dry mustard and some fennel seeds. Cook on low for about 6 - 8 hours. When you remove the meat add some flour to thicken the drippings into a sauce for your noodles, rice or whatever you want to serve on the side.

Also, surprisingly good is the recipe on the McCormick packet of crockpot pulled pork seasoning.

LOVE the cute stamp set and I've been dying to try out the Copics!

Pot Roast...all time crock pot favorite at our house!

Ingredients:

3 lb roast
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 beef bouillion cubes
2 bay leaves
1 onion, cut into rings
2 cloves garlic
mushrooms (you can use fresh or canned, as many as you want, or omit--it is great either way)
water to cover

Brown your roast all over in hot skillet with a little bit of oil. Place roast in crockpot. Cover with garlic, bay leaves, onions, and soup. Put bouillion cubes and mushrooms all around. Add water to just cover the roast. Set crock pot on low and cook for 8 hours.

Sometimes after cooking I will take the juice in the cooker, strain out the solids and make a gravy. You can serve the onions and mushrooms...just make sure to toss the bay leaves!

Hope you get to enjoy this one, and hope I get to enjoy the blog candy! Thanks for a chance at it.

Here is a favorite crockpot recipe of ours -- we've been making it since we got our 1st crockpot 32 years ago.
It's called "Chicken Lickin' Good Pork Chops":

Dredge pork chops in mixture of 1/2cup flour, 1 T salt, 1 1/2 t dry mustard and 1/2 t garlic powder. Brown in 2 T oil in large skillet. Place browned pork chops in crock pot. Add 1 can chicken & rice soup. Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours (3 1/2 hours, high).

Thanks for the opportunity to win your blog candy!

I make beef or chicken "stoup". Tons of chunky veggies, but a bit more brothy than stew. I generally put carrots, potatoes, celery, onion and garlic in with the meat. A couple cans of broth and seasoning. Yummy! Sometimes, instead of potatoes, I put barley in if it is beef. At the end, mix some flour in with the juices to thicken it a bit. Mix up some bisquick biscuits with a little parm and Italian seasonings.

Hi Cambria,

I don't know what crockpot is... haven't heard of the term being used in Indian cooking, so I don't have a recipe to share.

But I still need to thank you for this chance to win blog candy. I have never seen a Copic marker except online and it is too expensive for me to have them shipped to India so I probably never will see them. ;-)

Thanks anyway,

Well, if nothing else just by saying the words "Blog Candy" you have gotten yourself a cookbook full of crockpot and other recipes! I will be flagging this just so I can come back to find a recipes for future use. :o)

When it comes to crockpot cooking it's pretty hard to get it wrong. Last week I wanted soup... chopped up onions and celery and carrots. Through them in the crockpot with a couple frozen chicken breasts and 4 cups of chicken stock and seasonings (salt, pepper, etc). I started late so instead of turning it on low and letting it cook for 6-8 hrs I turned it on high and it was done in 3-4. YAY! Added pasta about half hour before serving. Once it's in the bowls I usally hit it with a little green tabasco for a kick of flavor. Mmmm!

Thanks for the possibilities of winning Copics and for the collection of recipes :o)

Oooh, Copics! I've been wanting to try those, but they don't sell any around my area! Thanks for the chance to win!! Here's an easy crockpot recipe for you, it's always a big hit when I make it:

Fourth of July Bean Casserole
1/2 lb diced, cooked bacon
1/2 lb ground beef
1 cup chopped onion (or a couple tbsp dried minced onion)
1 large can pork & beans
1 (17 oz) can lima beans rinsed & drained
1 (16 oz) can kidney beans rinsed and drained
1/2 cup bbq sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp prepared mustard
2 tbsp molasses
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp chili powder

In large skillet, cook beef and onion until meat is browned and onion is tender. Transfer to crockpot along with cooked bacon. Add all the beans and mix well. In small bowl combine the remaining ingredients; stir into beef and bean mixture. Cover and either cook on high for an hour or on low for two hours, can be served as soon as beans are tender.

6 Tbsp. granulated sugar
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. cloves
1 cup raisins
1/2 tsp. salt

Beat egg white until smooth consistency. Add nuts. Stir to coat each nut.
Mix sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves together in small container. Stir into nut mixture. Spread on baking sheet. Bake in 325 degree oven for about 20 minutes, stirring 2 or 3 times.
Remove from oven, stir in raisins and salt right away. Allow to cool. Store in covered container. Makes 3 cups.

Chicken Enchiladas
4 skinless chicken breasts
2 cans enchilada sauce
1 16oz. container fresh salsa either hot or mild
shredded cheese (I use colby/montery jack)
flour tortillas
Place chicken, 2 cans sauce and fresh salsa in crockpot and cook on low for 4-6 hours. Take chicken out and shred. Place around a 1/3 to 1/2 cup shredded chicken on flour tortilla and then spoon sauce over chicken and then sprinkle shredded cheese over that and roll up. In a 9x13 baking dish spoon enough sauce to cover the bottom and then put rolled up enchiladas in the dish. Cover with remaining sauce and sprinkle more shredded cheese over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes and serve with sour cream.

My family likes these enchiladas more than the ones from the mexican restaurant! Thanks for the chance to win and I hope that you will give this dish a try!

Dump it all in crockpot and cook on low for about 6 hours or til meat is fork tender.Makes a great roast and yummy sauce that goes well over noodles or rice.

¾ C onion
1/3 C celery
1/3 C green pepper
1 Tbsp dry mustard
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp Vinegar
Brown Sugar to taste (3-4 Tbsp)
Salt & Pepper
¾ C catsup
1 sm can tomato sauce

Brown meat, then add other ingredients and heat well.
Serve on Hamburger Buns.

Enjoy!

Place chicken breasts in pan. Pour ketchup and cola over the chicken breats. Simmer for 45 minutes covered. After 45 minutes, turn the heat up to high and cook until sauce thickens like bbq sauce.
Tastes excellent over rice

Oh my! by the looks of all the comments here, I'm not the only one drooling over these COPICS! Would you believe me if I told you I don't have ANY yet?! Seriously! That is just wrong!

I love crockpot cooking too. Here is one you may like to try:

Slowcooker RANCH POTATOES
2-1/2 lbs small red potatoes, quartered
1 (8.00 ounces) container sour cream
1 (0.04 ounce) package buttermilk ranch salad dressing mix
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup

Place the cut up potatoes in the crockpot. In a small bowl, mix together the remaining ingredients and then spoon over the potatoes. Stir to blend well. Cover; cook on low setting for 7 hours. Stir gently before serving.

I have plenty of chocolate recipes though :) Thanks for the lovely work on your blog - you have me obsessed with the glaze pens which are unfortunately very difficult to obtain over here in Oz.

Now on to the importan stuff. Those copics, you knoooooooow how I would love to have some. And of course that will lead to more, more, more. Always does. sighhhhhh

Recently I tried to cook hame in my crockpot and it was really yummy.I buy the spiral cut ham from Costco and cut the meat off the bone. In the crockpot, I put in 2-3 cups of apple cider and whole cloves. Mix together the glaze that came with the ham, brush it on then place in the crockpot. Cook on low for about 4-5 hours. Wow nice Blog candy! The thing I make most in the crock pot is "leftovers stew". In a n effort to not waist food and save some money we save all leftover meat, veggies and potatoes. We cut it up and freeze it then when we have enough we through it in the crock pot for stew. We love that every bite is different (eg chicken or sausage or ground beef).

One of my favorites is "Cranberry Meatballs." They're really appetizers, but are also really good on udon noodles.

Makes 4 to 4.5 dozen
Meatballs:
2 pounds ground chuck
2 large eggs
1/3 cup dry breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon thyme

Sauce:
1 (16-ounce) can cranberry sauce
1 (12-ounce) jar chili sauce
1/4 cup orange marmalade
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes

1 Meatballs: Mix all ingredients lightly. Shape into 1-inch balls (use a scoop for uniformity) and either bake on jellyroll pan sprayed with Pam, or fry in skillet (about 5 minutes), until browned.
2 Sauce: Stir together cranberry and chili sauces and next 5 ingredients in a crockpot and cook, whisking occasionally, until smooth.
3 Add meatballs and cook until centers are no longer pink. I stir occasionally.
4 ENJOY!

Here is my favorite Taco Soup--super quick meal when you forgot to put something in the crockpot!
Brown 1 pound lean ground beef with onion.
Add 1 can tomatoes--diced (28 ounces), throw it in the blender if your kids have chunky tomato issues,
2 cups water,
1/2 of a can of El Pato (hot tomato sauce)
1 can rinsed and drained black beans
frozen or canned corn
Simmer a few minutes serve with all the good stuff.
Tortilla chips
grated cheese
sour cream
sliced olives
This soup is so much better than the taco soup recipes that use a packet of 'taco seasoning'. It is the El Pato!
Try it--and I would love to try a copic! Thanks for sharing so many great ideas!

There's a bunch of good recipes here, but I have super easy one that can be either red or white! Brown a lb. of hamburger, drain. Add a can of cream of mushroom soup and half a can of water. Heat through and add 1/2 to 1 Cup of frozen corn. Cook till hot and corn done. Stir in 1 cup of minute rice, cover and cook 5 minutes. Serve with crusty French bread. To make it Spanish-y, use undrained can of tomatoes and small can of tomato sauce (or a jar of spaghettie sauce) instead of cream of mushroom soup. Add corn and rice the same way. My family calls this "White Glop" or "Red Glop" for the sound it makes when it hits the plate. LOL

Wow! Copics and lunch with Miss M all in Eugene - only in Oregon! Can you tell this small town country gal is impressed and just a little green with envy - lol!

Thanks too for the reminder about crockpots. I'm still finding things in my kitchen and garage boxes from my recent (2 years ago - hee - hee) move to Southern Oregon and I knew I was forgetting something. Winter days with cider & cinnamon sticks gently steaming away waiting for a quick dip and sip not to mention hearty stews and soups cooking magically while the spinning wheel goes round (good for stamp wheels too). Doesn't get more homelike than that. Especially when the kitties howl for their share as their noses are tested beyond endurance for hours and hours....and hours.

Thanks for sharing the wealth.

I hope I haven't shared this one with you yet, but if I have...I'm sorry!

The Ingredients.
courtesy of Confessions of a Wacky SAHM http://www.freewebs.com/awackysahm/recipeblog.htm?blogentryid=2962170

--12 boneless, skinless chicken thighs, or 6 boneless, skinless breast halves
--1 cup brown sugar (it's okay. you can brush your teeth after.)
--1/4 cup lemon-lime soda (stay with me...)
--2/3 cup vinegar (I used white wine, but think regular white would be fine)
--3 cloves smashed and chopped garlic
--2 T soy sauce (La Choy and Tamari wheat free are GF)
--1 tsp ground black pepper

The Directions.

Use a 5-6 quart crockpot for this recipe.

Plop the chicken into your crockpot. Cover with the brown sugar, pepper, chopped garlic, and soy sauce. Add the vinegar, and pour in the soda. It will bubble!

Cover and cook on low for 6-9 hours, or on high for 4-5. The chicken is done when it is cooked through and has reached desired consistency. The longer you cook it, the more tender it will be.

Serve over a bowl of white rice with a ladle full of the broth.

I actually cook it all day and then make a killer lasagna. 1 lb. ground round or sirloin; 1/2 lb. mild Italian sausage; 1 - 28 oz. can tomatoes (cut up); fresh mushrooms (calls for sauteed, but sometimes I just throw them in) slice of course; 1 cup chopped onion; 3/4 cup chopped green pepper; 1/2 cup red wine (I always use way more); 1/2 cup sliced pimento stuffed green olives (medium size); 3 to 5 bay leaves; 1 T basil; 1 T oregano; 5 cloves garlic (pressed); 1 1/2 t Worchesterchire; 1/3 cup water; 1 t sugar, 1 t salt, 1/2 t chile powder; 1/8 t pepper; 2 T each of cold water and corn starch. Brown ground beef and sausage and drain fat. Transfer to crock pot. Stir in everything else except water and corn starch. Thicken at end with cornstarch and water. Delish!!! I'm a fly by the seat of my pants, throw things together, rarely use a recipe (unless I'm baking) kind of cook. One of our favorite easy meals is when I make chicken breasts or fish fillets(salmon is our favorite)and steamed veggies in individual foil packets.Place each serving of meat onto a sheet of aluminum foil and top with fresh veggies of your choice. I usually cut up broccoli, cauliflower, baby carrots, onions, whole green beans and zucchini. Then salt and pepper to taste, sprinkle with grill seasoning(Roasted Garlic and Herbs by McCormick GrillMates is our favorite) and drizzle with olive oil.Seal all the edges of the foil and place packets on a cookie sheet and into a preheated 375 degree oven. Bake until the meat is done and the veggies are tender. We love this meal (including my teenagers)and it is very healthy for us as well. Enjoy! And thanks for the chance to win the copics. I've been wanting to try some!

Here's my never-fail crockpot chili:

1 lb. of ground beef
1 pkg. of chili seasoning
1 can of canned chili beans
1 can of red kidney beans
2 cans of diced tomatoes

In the morning while making breakfast, brown the ground beef in a skillet with the chili seasoning. Throw that in the crock pot, along with all the ingredients from the cans. Let it cook on low until dinnertime. (Sometimes I add more tomato sauce or paste depending on how it's doing.) That's it! Yummy! And easily doubled for your larger family.

Thanks for the chance to win blog candy!

1 rump roast. Place in the crock pot with just a small amount of water. Salt, pepper, garlic powder. Cook on low all day. Slice roast about 30 min. before eating and leave in the juice it will have made. We use french bread or horgie buns. Makes a great french dip sandwich. Hello Cambria
We had yummy Mediterrean Spinach Meatloaf cooked in our silpat cookware. Sorry I can't get to the recipe right now because I might have a fracture heel. I was at SU Leadership and Regionals in Orlando and fell in front of the convention center Saturday morning. I go to the Orthopedic Surgeon Monday Morning. What a weird accident but stamping makes it feel better.

Place chicken, breast side up, on a greased wire rack in a roasting pan. Brush chicken with oil. Pour stock into pan.

Roast chicken at 350° for 25 minutes per pound (1¼ to 1¾ hours for an average bird), basting often with juices and stock from the pan.
